RE: Never Steem while under the influence!

I would add "Extreme Elation" as an emotion that results in posts best forgotten, which of course can't happen on a blockchain. It is tantamount to a drug or alcohol induced high resulting the the same lack of judgement and inhibition. It is particularly embarrassing when we gush over a post or picture waxing eloquent on the many finer points only to learn later that it was plagiarized. I have also seen evidence of it when it comes to expressing the tremendous potential of STEEM to change the world. In this case sight of the 800 pound gorillas in the room are subtle overlooked. Posting and commenting must be done responsibly. Sometime we just need that designated driver beside us.

(Does that reference work anywhere besides the US?)

@yulem, you bring up a great point - LACK OF JUDGMENT. This happens for various reasons, one of which is being to causal in our comments. We might read a post, but we did not really read it.

And as a result, we write comments that do not truly reflect reality. I really appreciate the real-life example you gave.

Ouch! We need groups of people and mentors to help us grow and keep us accountable. I totally understand your designated driver reference. Honestly, I am not sure how well it translates outside of the US. I lived in Indonesia for almost 10 years. I never heard anyone mention an idea even close to designated-driver, but using alcohol is illegal, so drunk driving should not have been a problem (at least in theory).
