Dang I just sent you this Yuge reply and it didn't post. Second one this morning. Hmm.
Well we just had a pretty good rain and lightning storm here. The rain has my pool a mess. Hopefully I will get it cleaned up and be able to post some pics at the pool for the weekend. I got a bank owned home on auction that was half remodeled. The bedrooms and bathrooms are done. We're remodeling the kitchen. We put a electric fireplace in the living room and another one is going in the master bedroom. We made a temporary firebox outside on the patio with some scrap cylinder blocks. We want to put in a outdoor fireplace when we get to the outside. I love campfires and camping. We came from Colorado to Florida about a year ago. I'm hoping to get my second post done this weekend. I was going to do one on the Disney Electric Parade. I'm a bit of a Disney addict. lol.
How is your weekend going? What part of Florida are you in. We're in Hernando county about 20 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. If my reply posts twice sorry. I don't know what happened to my first reply. I was trying to remember everything I said when I had to retype it lol. You may get two lol.
Ay, been noticing some issues with connecting to the site, and posting as well. They just can’t handle our sunshine, or as it feels some times “thunder capital of the world.” I’m about 30 minutes from Daytona Beach. Don’t go down there as often as I should.
We got some giant clouds over our pool right now. Going go out swimming in about an hour, and I bet the sun will shine when I do. People always joke about kidnaping me, and brining me along places to keep the sun shining! Sometimes it works other times-- rain. I hope things clear up so someone from this state can share the beautiful weather with the community. No camera myself or I would have by now as the sunsets have been great.
Sounds like you guys made a very wise purchase with the house. Buying a house from the bank I’ve been told can be a giant pain but well worth it if you can fix things up yourself. Good luck remolding the kitchen that sounds like a handful.
I’ve been to Disney a few times. I am more of a zoo kind of person. Last time I was down there was to check out the Harry Potter exhibit with some family members. Have not been back since to do the train ride they added in for that (not sure if that’s up and running yet or what.) I have a feeling sooner or later will be back when ever some family members come down to visit from Minnesota.
My admin on my group on FB lives outside of Daytona. Small world. I think its south beach. The train is running at universal. Looks really cool like in the movie. Someone Youtubed it. I love Harry Potter to. I have all the movies and went to the drive in to see Fantastic Beasts and seen it again in Downtown Disney Springs. There going to be releasing like 5 more movies in the next couple years. I bought my daughter all harry potter stuff for Christmas this year. Feel free to send some sunshine my way lol I could use some :) My mother sent me a pass for Mickeys Halloween Party this year. I can't wait and definitely will be making a blog for it. I just posted the light parade in travel. My second post. We've been here for a year and haven't been able to visit Disney or universal yet. We go to Disney springs all the time and walk around. It's free with lots of entertainment. Nice meeting you. I love this site and community. Still learning and feeling my way around.
I hope the clear skies are heading your way. Was clouds and thunder all around me while outside. With just a bit of sunrays and thinning of clouds right above me haha.
I lived down in the St. Pete area for a short time, boated a bunch on the Gulf. Played some hockey down there, you have to drive an hour at least to find a rink LOL
Well, I lived on the water at Madeira Beach. I played semi pro beach v-ball in my younger days and retired at 32. Similar for my baseball.
I had to drive to Ulmerton/19th wayyy up the coast North -- towards Clearwater there, and there are 2 sets of rinks within a few blocks of each other, I would play there Friday nites.
All the Americans like to take runs at the Canadian they heard was coming to town LOL
3 of us Canadians would duck all that nonsense and load up 1 team and crush them every weekend LOL
Funny story lol. I have houses and some property in Michigan. Lived there for over 20 years. Big Redwing fans. Visited Toronto a few times when I was younger. I remember going on a field trip to a spaghetti factory.
Somewhere on my FB there is a long buried album from my trip to Nashville winter of 2003. Hung out w wings fan bc they know hockey and are basically Canadians but for the accent LOL.
Wings fans trek down to Smashville EN MASSE to see Preds games.
I had comp tickets with some of my connections, and had a great time with the Michigan folks.
I am about 50 kms or so dead East of the downtown Torontostan core with the dome and rink, etc.
