RE: Why is GENUINE COMMENTING on steemit so IMPORTANT?? (and @abh12345's Curation League)

Tough day at the office honey? ;) What's happened for you to come to this conclusion @galenkp?

I'm trying to bring some levity to your comment because, honestly it made me feel kind of sad. I know that all of those things go on here, just like in the real world. There will always be those who are selfish and take care of themselves and only themselves, but I have to believe that there's a large population here that is the exact opposite...those people that I'm surrounding myself with who are selfless, giving, supportive, encouraging and kind. People like you @galenkp. I've found in my short time on earth, that negativity and anger only breeds more of the same, and I refuse to let those people take my optimism from me.

I guess in the end, there's things we can change, things we can't change, and things we can choose to accept or simply ignore. I'm not living in a land of rainbows and unicorns, but I have always looked at the glass half full and focused my energies on those like-minded people who actually care. I will try to educate and change those who may be selfish, but I won't waste my time with that either. If my ideals are not their's, so be it.

Sometimes the hardest thing in life is accepting the shit that you can't do anything about. Trust me, I know.

Fair point and accurate too. I also only surround myself with those working towards something positive however there are many people on this platform, and the others, who thinly veil their greed and selfishness behind a facade of community. (Reward pool rapers.)

I agree with focusing energies on the like-minded. That's a good plan. I like your comment below.

And you make a fair point as well!

I'm glad you appreciated my last statement; it is often my daily mantra, one that I mutter to myself a few times over :)
