It’s on again – the Steemit Ultra Marathon. Everyone wants a piece of the prize money and all they have to do to get it is run 63kms faster than everyone else.
Simple really.
And what prize money are they playing for?
- 1st place – 20SBD
- 2nd place – 10SBD
- 3rd place – 5SBD
Here is who we have playing this time:
A quick note to the veterans – I’ve changed some of the values for the course, having run various sections again. Some parts are easier, some parts are harder. So keep that in mind if you plan to reuse your numbers from the last game ;-)
Let’s get started
Runners, you need to tell me:
- How fast you intend to run – a number from 1-15 (you can use decimal places if you like e.g. 5.5)
- How many hours you intend to run for – a number from 1-2 (you can use a decimal for partial hours e.g. 1.5)
- How many energy gels you will consume – a number from 0 – however many gels you have (whole numbers only)
- If you want to rest, how long you intend to rest (in hours) – a number from 1-2
Runners have until 6pm tomorrow New Zealand time, to tell me their choices. Anyone not replying in the next 24 hours will be classed as DNF (Did Not Finish).
Remember, this race is all about managing the damage. Get to know the course and where you can run fast and where you have to run slow. Get it right, and you can cover a lot of ground. Get it wrong, and you can end up walking for the rest of the race.
