It's Saturday morning July 23 and my wallet has 16,000 steem power, on Tuesday morning I had 15,000 steem power. I blogged about 10 times per day this week (too much, but got carried away having so much fun), earning an average of $2 per blog post, except for 1 blog post that earned $250, and generated 140 steem power on payout.
So this week I earned 840 steem in 4 days just for holding steem power, and 160 steem for blogging and curating. At $3.50 per steem that's $3500 in 4 days for having fun, that's GREAT. I should do an update like this every 4 to 5 days. It's a good motivator for anyone thinking about upgrading their steem power to earn money just for holding it.
I just got my first "mars-eve hustle" hit this morning too, and I can say yes, that felt great. I definitely went to check out that blog post and upvoted and commented on it, so feel free to hit me with your own hustle and I will do the same for you, but I will only upvote and comment if I like your blog post, most likely I will tho, cause it takes confidence to do a "mars-eve hustle", and that much confidence is usually tied to a great blog post. This coming week I want to scale back my blogging to less than 6 times per day... have fun :)
Your vote goes up in value only when you have more steem power. And it takes quite a bit for your vote to have any value at all aside letting others know you liked the post.
I blog for the fun of it too. I like to try to raise a smile. This is why I try to be a bit creative with my titles . "I'm a stripper in my spare time" don't you know :p
Hey Craig, a mars-eve could be considered paid marketing without an ad agency as a middle person. It can also be used to double reward people who have made a contribution I think is valuable. Especially when the creative person has non mainstream posts. See my Power of Minnows post. I for one have enjoyed your posts/videos. I think you add value to the steem community. I have read many of your posts. Thank you!
thank you very much for the 1 SD you sent me, your ideas are amazing, and I can see you will go a very long way in a short period of time, just keep doing your thing :)
I watch pretty much every single vid you upload bro. Cheers for being my Steemit teacher haha :) I recommend your stuff whenever people ask me about how steemit works.
Good job!

Nice Bro!!! I think that you updating your info, gives people more motivation to earn more...Definitely for me! Crypto Is the "new" way to save cause it gives you more incentive to hold than traditional banking...Thanks for taking the time to share my man:)
Impressive. I bet you are on cloud 9 right now... :) I think that the mix of steem power and blogging is the best combination rather than one or the other. Hold on tight and enjoy your future on steemit. I would like one day to be in that situation and inspire others too .. well done :) ps how do you hussle that way? rather confused.. and too new to this oops...
haha I hope so and I am sure I will... and when I do i will be back to hussle You :) then I can show you I learnt how to hussle... now goes on a hunt to find out how to hussle in the land of steem.... :)
So This i must ask... how long did it take you to start really working steem out? Ive been here bout 5 days now I guess... and things are slowly dropping into place.. :)
I love your posts Craig but you're wrong on this one. You didn't earn $3500 in a week until its converted to BTC or USD!
According to your scenario, if STEEM drops to low $1 (which as a trader you know that will most likely happen with STEEM in the short term), does that mean you will have lost $thousands that week? No! It's all just digits on a screen until it's safely out of the platform and in cold storage or on paper in your hand ;)
so when it drops to $1, and you and hoards of other steemers buy some cheap steem, it will sky rocket to $4.50, and then I will be happy I never put it in the bank, where I don't need it
I have no use for it being in my bank account, I keep all my money in bitcoin, and I already have enough bitcoin, so the $3000 only has use for me as steem power to grow daily
So you didn't earn anything, because your initial post is a bit unclear, saying you earned 3K USD.
Some people are being misguided, thinking that people like you actually did earn 3 000 USD in their bank account, when in reality, nobody is getting USDs but Steem Power that you can't resell before 2 years and that will be worth next to 0 by then.
I agree, it's fun. But i can see some people quitting their real job to steemit full time. Believing that they can make a quick buck posting useless stuff.
It's fine, this is how the system is designed, to let people think that they are going to be rich to drag other people into the system to believe it too. While the big players cash out real cash to buy real stuff.
I would tell that person to earn enough money to live off for at least 6 months and have it the bank before quitting that job to do steemit full time. With enough steem power and time to blog, someone could do very well as a blogger on steemit
Interesting post. It's definitely a good motivator.
I'm curious, have you got to this point by just posting content or have you invested money of your own to get you off the ground?
The day I will woke up with a profit higher than 100 S$ I will give away half, that's for sure, until that day i will keep rocking on steemit with my tech news/tips and tricks. P.S: well done mate!
Motivation comes from within, I think it's great documenting for your own personal well being:) Sh.. forget what I think anyway lmao show us all the $$$ you make and have it might inspire someone it might make me compromise after long enough muhahah!
Why don't you share the love with some upvotes!
just because you said so
Love returned, though my upvote is less valuable then yours. I've been voting on your content the whole time though, its good! Keep it up man.
but then your vote is going up in value , and all votes are worth having... I am right ? I am getting used to this slowly I think.. :)

Awesome Craig, glad to see it working out for you. Holding Steem Power makes a lot of money, but it's not as fun blogging and posting. :)
sharing is caring

mars-eve is an internal joke for something that happened in the flow of this video.. enjoy :)

this system is more about having fun than earning money, the potential to earn money is just a bonus
I agree, it's fun. But i can see some people quitting their real job to steemit full time. Believing that they can make a quick buck posting useless stuff.
ok, you're right, I'm just a lousy scammer, you got me :)
It's fine, this is how the system is designed, to let people think that they are going to be rich to drag other people into the system to believe it too. While the big players cash out real cash to buy real stuff.
my last job was in 1999, that's how much money I have :)
If you need the money then why didn't you cash out ?
I would tell that person to earn enough money to live off for at least 6 months and have it the bank before quitting that job to do steemit full time. With enough steem power and time to blog, someone could do very well as a blogger on steemit
Cool! Continue in the same spirit.
Круто! Продолжайте в том же духе.
Cool.. Share some upvotes with me too. You will be bless. :)
that's great news Craig, well done!! keep blogging and sharing the power?!!
Interesting post. It's definitely a good motivator.
I'm curious, have you got to this point by just posting content or have you invested money of your own to get you off the ground?
Either way, here's an up vote from me.
most of my steem power was purchased or earned when steem was $0.29 cents per steem
Ahh cool. So jealous of the early adopters.
How about you share the wealth and throw me an up vote or 2 back? :D I spent ages making that GIF.
All of the clocks in the movie 'Pulp Fiction' are stuck at 4:20.
Ah, Movie trivia. Upvoted.
You cannot kill yourself by holding your breath.
