Second Part Summary Entry
"Jesus Christ! Lynda, you almost got us killed," Kenny said, his voice drowned by Cindy's shrilling cry. "Ok, I'm sorry for hitting you. But can we discuss this at home?" Lynda was silent. Obviously shaken by the accident. She took Cindy and rocked her to quietness. By this time, passers-by have gathered to come get the car out of the ditch. Car got out fine save a dented bumper and a broken headlight. The rest of the journey was accompanied with silence and troubled emotions.
At home, Kenny knew he owed his wife an explanation. Lots of it. He'd never had an affair. Not Sandra. Not any other woman. "This is just her ploy to set our marriage on a rollercoaster," he said to Lynda, kneeling. She sobbed. He took her in his arms and apologized, promised never to leave, said he would always love her. As he said the words, he remembered Sandra's text and his heart pulsated with anger and guilt. Anger because he was disgusted at her nerve to toy with his marriage. Guilt because within him, he knew he desired Sandra. And wasn't sure if he could keep resisting.
yeah, thank you! haha
I was midway writing but read this and stopped. It needs more upvote, it has a more mature tone and would make the story more interesting.
