Nice story and very good score. I have a friend that step in shit like that all the time. He bought an old book collection and found over $6,000 in the books. Go figure....thanks for sharing.🍺

I have heard the same @silverd510. I am always checking old books (esp Bibles). I've found one silver certificate, lots of old receipts and tickets used for bookmarks, some early prayer cards with nice art, but no high dollar notes (yet).
My friend was remodeling a rental house and found a fancy pink and white swirled, ladies glass cane inside of a plastered wall. It was very nice! The next day, he went back to the demolition and found almost $2,000 in cash and another $1,000 face value in silver coins in jars in that same wall. Almost all of the coins were from the teens and 20s. I had high hopes for finding a 1916d Mercury sorting through those with him, but none found.
I’ve been in the business for over 30 years and have never found anything worth value. That’s a good score!!! I do however have friends in the business that have made some unbelievable finds.🍺
