I will honestly say that I am not a cat person (mother leaving her child behind is just one of the reasons why - but this is just a personal opinion) but the way you took care of this little baby is amazing. I'm happy that the lady gave you the idea to use the cotton and you saved this cute kitten!
Also, it's so nice from you to bring a friend for Coco so that she doesn't feel alone. Maybe she was firstly feeling that the other cat will take away your attention and this is why she didn't really accept him at the beginning.
I'm glad that they formed friendship at the end and now are the best buddies forever.
