Aladdin and the Magic Lamp

Source
The jewelers and goldsmiths of the city were asked to finish the 99th window of Aladdin's new palace. However, they soon discover that with all the jewels they could get, they would need three months to get a result that would not be as good as the 98 other windows.
So Aladdin tells the sultan that they should be sent back with the jewels and that he will finish the window himself. And he does just that, with the help of the genie of the lamp, of course.
And the sultan is very impressed. And still, he does not realize that Aladdin is using magic!
ON THE THIRTY-FIRST NIGHT
Sheherazade said:
In the meantime, the jewelers and goldsmiths arrived, whom the guards had gone to fetch all over the capital; and they came to the sultan, who immediately went back up under the dome with ninety-nine windows. And he showed the unfinished window to the goldsmiths, saying to them: "You must, as soon as possible, finish the work that this window requires, in terms of inlays of pearls and jewels of all colors!" And the goldsmiths and jewelers answered by hearing and obedience and began to examine with great minuteness the work and inlays of the other windows, looking at each other with wide-open eyes of astonishment. And, after consulting among themselves, they returned to the sultan and, after the prostrations, said to him: "O great king, we do not have in our shops, despite all our lots of precious stones, what to adorn the hundredth part of this window! And the king said, "I will supply you with everything you need!" And he had the fruits brought in precious stones which Aladdin had given him as a present, and said to them, "Use what is necessary, and give me back the rest!" And the jewelers took their measurements and made their calculations, repeating them several times, and answered: "O great king, all that you give us, and all that we have, will not suffice to adorn the tenth part of the window!" And the king turned to his guards and said to them: "Go and invade the houses of my viziers, great and small, of my emirs and of all the rich people of my kingdom, and make them release, whether they like it or not, all the gems they have!" And the guards hastened to carry out the order.
Now, while waiting for their return, Aladdin, who saw that the king was beginning to be worried about the outcome of the enterprise and who, in his soul, was extremely happy about the thing, wanted to distract him with a concert. And he beckoned to one of the young genies, his slaves, who immediately brought in a troop of singers so beautiful that each one of them could say to the moon: "Get up, let me sit in your place!" and endowed with an enchanting voice that could say to the nightingale: "Shut up to hear me sing!" And they succeeded, by harmony, in making the king gain a little patience.
But as soon as the guards had arrived, the sultan immediately handed over to the jewelers and goldsmiths the precious stones which had come from the remains of the rich people in question, and said to them: “Well! what do you say now?" They replied, "By Allah, O our master, we are still a long way off!" And we will need eight times more materials than we currently have! Moreover, to carry out this work, we need, at least, three months of delay, if we continue the work day and night!"
At these words, the king was on the verge of disappointment and perplexity and felt his nose lengthen to his feet from the shame he felt at seeing himself helpless in circumstances so painful to his self-respect. Then Aladdin, not wishing to prolong the trial to which he was subjecting him any longer and considering himself satisfied, turned to the goldsmiths and jewelers and said to them: "Take back what is yours, and get out!" And he said to the guards: "Return the gems to their masters!" And he said to the king: “O great king, I shouldn't take back from you what I once gave you! I beg you, therefore, to take it for granted that I restore to you these jeweled fruits, and that I replace you in what remains to be done to complete the ornamentation of this window! I only ask you to wait for me in my wife Badrou'l-Boudour's apartment, because I cannot work or give any orders while I know that I am being watched!" And the king retired to his daughter Badrou'l-Budour's apartment, so as not to disturb Aladdin.
Then, Aladdin drew from the bottom of a mother-of-pearl cupboard, the magic lamp which he had been careful not to forget when moving from his old house to the palace; and he rubbed it as he used to do. And the genie appeared instantly and bowed to Aladdin, awaiting his orders. And Aladdin said to him: “O genie of the lamp, I have summoned thee to make the ninety-ninth window like its sisters in every way!" And he had hardly made this request when the genie disappeared. And Aladdin heard like an infinity of knocks of hammers and noises of files on the window in question; and, in less time than it takes for a thirsty man to swallow a glass of cold water, he saw the miraculous jeweled ornamentation of the window appear and perfect itself. And he could hardly tell her apart from the others. And he went to the sultan and asked him to accompany him into the dome hall.
When the sultan arrived in front of the window he had seen so imperfect a few moments before, he thought he had taken the wrong side, not recognizing it. But when, after walking around the dome several times, he saw that the work had been done in such a short time when all the jewelers and goldsmiths put together had asked for three whole months to finish it, he was at the limit of wonder, and he kissed Aladdin between the eyes and said, “Ah! my son Aladdin, the more I know you, the more I find you admirable…
— At this point in her narration, Scheherazade saw the morning appear and quietly fell silent.

Wow! This goes to show the magnificence of Aladdin's palace and number of gemstones used to make each window. What is astounding after reading this chapter is that the Sultan still does not realise that Aladdin uses magic! His jewelers say it would take them months to finish the window but Aladdin completes it within minutes. Anyone would be suspicious and wonder how he accomplished it. I guess, the Sultan sees whatever he wants to. Also he wouldn't want to contradict his new son-in-law in anyway, at least for the sake of his daughter. 😄
As always, this chapter is captivating and so is use of vivid imagery in describing the details of the scene, the expressions of the characters, and the progression of events. I look forward to the next chapter! Thanks for sharing. 😊😊
Aah, that was Aladdin's plan from the beginning. That's to impress the Sultan again by showing what things he can do in less time. I think that was a clever move but I'm getting worried about the way Aladdin does things too fast or too hasty. That's why until now I can't believe that the Sultan still doesn't notice Aladdin's unique skills, it's obviously a work of magic. But the Sultan was so impressed that he really couldn't think straight anymore, haha.
Although Aladdin is successful every time he tries to impress the Sultan, I still don't understand why his methods need to be a bit extreme. It's like he really wants the Sultan to be impressed by him regardless of the potential consequences.
Anyway, fortunately, he has a powerful Genie who helps him without hesitation. Maybe because the wishes he can grant are limitless, that's why Aladdin's wishes are a bit aggressive towards him. I remember watching the Disney version of the story and it's said that the Genie can only grant 3 wishes to the master of the lamp. That's why Aladdin is very careful when asking Genie for his wishes. He is trying to conserve the wishes that he has; that's his situation in the Disney version of the story.
When it comes to the 1001 Nights version of the story, Aladdin's wishes are unlimited, which is why he can't stop making wishes to the Genie.
It's interesting to think about what else Aladdin wishes for in the next chapters of the story. The next chapters are exciting, can't wait!
An elf can accomplish difficult tasks in the blink of an eye, but in real life, there are few tasks that can be completed in such a short amount of time. However, in today's rapidly changing technological world, many tasks that used to take people a long time to complete, such as calculations, communication, transportation, production, and so on, can now be accomplished in a very short amount of time through high-tech means. This may suggest that people's lives are constantly becoming faster, more convenient, and more efficient.
To complete the 99th window, the king could simply order the seizure of all wealthy people's gems, demonstrating his authority. Although this could be used to complete the 99th window, it would actually violate the principles of property rights and personal freedom. The government and the king should protect people's property rights and freedoms instead of arbitrarily confiscating their property.
In modern civilized societies, authority does not mean the ability to violate people's rights at will. As a leader, one should set an example by respecting and protecting people's rights and dignity, rather than violating these principles to achieve one's goals.
Therefore, alternative methods should be sought to complete the 99th window, such as soliciting donations from the people or raising funds through other channels, rather than violating people's rights to achieve one's goals.

As far as Today's part is concern, this was just a normal episode, in which there is nothing much happened. Alladin is using the magic lamp to full fill all his needs with the help of Ginie.
But here the question is no one is getting suspicious, how Aladdin is about to do things that normal humans can't do even in years and years, but he just making these things happen in the matter of days.
It's a human instinct that, we get suspicious if something wrong is happening, that's what is happening here but no one is getting suspicious, like in this episode, Aladdin Used the lamp and with the Genie he completed the window in just matter of minutes,
Which normally could take 3 month for human to complete. I think Sultan may get suspicious about these things in the coming episodes, but I'm not sure, we will see.
Once again, Aladdin did what no one else could, Aladdin is doing all this deliberately, he is doing all these actions to impress the Sultan, and he is succeeding in it since day one. Reading today's story, it seems as if the Sultan is blindfolded and has no idea how Aladdin is doing all this.
A Sultan is the king of an entire kingdom, he summoned all the goldsmiths from the whole empire and they asked for three months' time for the work he assigned to them, but Aladdin did the same in a few moments. Sultan is blindfolded because he is seeing that Aladdin is doing all this and he is delighted to think that Aladdin is his son-in-law and how much more capable he is.
The Sultan sees that there is no one in his kingdom more worthy than Aladdin, and he is seeing that he has married his daughter to the boy who is the most worthy in the whole kingdom, as every father wishes to marry his daughter in the best place, so the Sultan is also happy to think that he has married his daughter in the best place.
This is the reason why Sultan Aladdin is ignoring all the things that a common man cannot do, now it is to be seen that the Sultan's is ignoring all these things, whether the Sultan's ministers and the rest of his soldiers and slaves are also ignoring all these things or not?
As far as I am concerned these people will also make light of all the things that are happening, and if they do not ignore this and go and tell it to the Sultan, well Sultan will not listen to one of them, because he will think that they are doubting my son-in-law's ability in the court and accusing him out of jealousy.
For the rest, we will know what happens by reading the story ahead and we are waiting for it....
The Sultan is a wise man, yet he sits in this position, but as we have seen that the window was repaired in no time, the Sultan must be suspicious of how it was done so quickly, for if any man does So it would have taken almost two months to complete this thing, but with the help of sugar, Aladdin has done it in no time and the Sultan is wondering how it was done so quickly.
The man who had come to repair it was also very disturbed to see that it could not be done quickly enough, nor did he have the tools to make the window in it in the same way. He said the same thing to the Sultan, but still he felt that he would do it.
The way we see that everything is done by Aladdin very quickly and ahead of time and no common man can do it like this but the surprising thing is that still Sultan has no doubts about him. It didn't happen and I didn't believe the way the minister had once said that Allah takes you to religion, so He speeds up everything. In the coming days, this story is going to take a turn that we cannot even imagine.
The happy thing is that the princess is very happy at the house of Aladdin and at this time Aladdin's mother is also serving the princess a lot. The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law story happens here too. In real life, it happens that after a few days of marriage, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law have a fight and after some time, the son is separated from his mother. Always waiting for next part.
In today's story we can see how the Sultan realized that with all the treasure he had he could not compare the beauty of the other windows, making Alladin a person of good taste, who obtained precious stones, which his kingdom has not had. . In turn, the Sultan's workers asked him for three months to fulfill that window, although the Sultan is moved by the different works that Alladin does, there may come a time when he doubts it.
But at the same time, the Sultan sees happiness through his daughter's eyes, he knows that his daughter is in a good place, with a worthy husband, who will fill her with happiness, apart from material things, that she will not lack anything. to her daughter, who has chosen well for her husband.
That is where the detail is as a father, every father wants the best for his daughter, being the princess, she had to have a husband at her level, every time she sees that Alladin surprises him...
See that it is a story from another era but this has not changed at all.
It is curious how quickly Aladdin has adapted to his new life of abundance and it is that one gets used to good things quickly. Now he not only swims in abundance but even gives orders "Take back what's yours and go!" as if he were the Sultan.
How long will it take for the Sultan to realize the change in situation?
The Sultan's challenge to complete the unfinished window failed in the end and he had to return to Aladdin and be true that it cannot be fulfilled in the same way as the others. Aladdin whispers his wish to a genie and that gets done in a glimpse of an eye. The Sultan is amazed by it... but that might trigger new questions along the way. Will Aladdin's secret surface and how will the others respond to it? This is what I am questioning...
The Sultan, despite his vast wealth and resources, cannot find enough precious gems to complete the window. This raises questions about the nature of wealth and how it can be both a blessing and a curse. It also highlights the idea that there are some things that money cannot buy. Probably Aladin here was close to exposing himself and yet the EGO would be the one in charge.
The story continues and while the Sultan tries to complete the last window, he cannot with human powers. Thus, he recognizes this to Aladdin which takes upon the work and finishes it with a genie help. There is something in the air which the sultan cannot shake it and he may soon discover how Aladdin completes all the challenges along the way.
