I like this one. It reminds me of some other folktale where the youngest brother gets all the power and wealth due to his kindness. It looks like some morality stories have the same conclusions all around the world. The first two sons, driven by pride and arrogance, fail in their quests. The third son, characterized by humility and kindness, takes a different approach. His willingness to help the poor man and accept the gift of a superior loaf of bread reflects a philosophical lesson in humility and the acknowledgment that assistance can come from unexpected sources.
However, I got to check where Gascony is and how it looks. Must admit it is lovely there.
