Unfortunately the part of the process where you need "Unlock Your Account" where I think we need to provide authorisation using our Steemit account gives an invalid certificate.
I don't want to proceed any further until I am sure it is safe.

Tried again same result. I'm not sure exactly what this means - could be a github problem? I would wait until it is resolved.

I too balked at the request for private key... and if it does not support SSl I will also not provide the key.
The only alternatives that currently exist are
cli-wallet
- command line wallet that comes with the steemd daemonpiston
- a python command line toolWould you be willing to try one of those?
