Thanks for the remark .. the page is actually github-hosted (so people can see the source code) and does not support SSL. If you remove the s from the https, it should work. I'll fix the link right way.

Thanks. It just confused me as I am not an expert on security:)
I too balked at the request for private key... and if it does not support SSl I will also not provide the key.
The only alternatives that currently exist are
cli-wallet- command line wallet that comes with the steemd daemonpiston- a python command line toolWould you be willing to try one of those?
