Nice! I'm looking into 3D printers at the moment, and plan to write up my experiences once I decide on one. Not sure at the moment whether to start with a "throwaway" model ($300 or less) or do the research now and get something that can grow with my needs -- but will likely be $1k or more...

Also consider, depending on your country to look for a compagny which allows you to rent 3D professional printers. Then you can just print your things hyper fast :), by sending your blueprint. If you are not sure about the 3D printer you should buy, maybe do more research depending your needs ^^. Will follow your progress
