It's like websites, you have 3 seconds to capture someone's attention. Short punchy videos are extremely powerful due to this, but a majority of videos are 1 minute or longer and this constant applies consistently in my experience.

Anyway, I published some stats that sort of prove your premise. Most videos don't retain an audience until the end or even for very many seconds. If people aren't getting the traction they want from longer videos, a solution could be to shorten them up but make them more direct. Thanks for the inspiration!
