RE: Building A Biometric Database For An Entire Country

Who wouldn't want 0% tax but then there has to be some revenue source for the government to take the economy forward...I agree states are not utilizing public funds the way they should be utilizing...corruption is there too...to your 2nd point privacy issue and identification theft is really a big issue and should only be implemented if state can take full ownership of the security...let's see hope for the best :)

Sort:

It is not the government's role to take the economy forward. That is for private individuals and private businesses. As for the state taking full ownership of security... well, governments have a poor record of that as well!

yes it is individuals and private businesses who take it forward, gov just impedes the process

they aren't taking it forward.. they impose violence and coercion on a daily basis when it comes to new people trying to better their lives and make a business for themselves, try to raise themselves out of poverty. They still have cannabis prohibited even though it could provide benefit to millions... they engage in unjustified wars with that money and they use that money to violate natural rights of their citizens... their hard earned money goes toward corrupt debt owed to central banks.....a good/ ethical system or even civilized at the very least would be one that is funded voluntarily :) not with coercion. So what they have now isn't even civilized on the most basic level.

you sold me on cannabis prohibition :D nothing more to debate

Well said!

I am convinced that technologies like the blockchain are making not only government obsolete, but markets. In a world where all production is automated, where AI keeps the grass watered, the food free of bugs and drones deliver it to your home, there is no actual need for capital, or the inequities that markets create.

I'm not talking about communism, but a world where work is not necessary, income is useless, and all production has no cost.

This is not something those with a pathological need to be better than others are comfortable with, and there are worse psychopaths, such as those that need to have power over others, like rapists, sadistic torturers, and murderers.

Thankfully, the technology that will bring about this post market economy is just a matter of time and engineering. The real problem will be political, and ending power over people.

We can be free, and the day comes when we will be.

Thanks!

the blockchain will compliment the market, not replace it.. i rec this awesome steemit post you might find interesting..

and production always* has a cost. Always.

In a completely automated system, there would be no cost people had to pay.

I'll check that post another time. It's almost 2 am =p Thanks for the link!
