Until this week I was a fan of Apple and their products. After the lack of service and support from this organization I have swung the opposite direction....
These are 5 reasons Apple products suck:-
- Apple uses child labor in their overseas manufacturing plants.
- Apple hardware lasts on average six months and then starts to have issues (from feedback it may start sooner). They are now soldering the SSD to the logic board so you cannot get your SSD drive off without going to one of their partner Apple certified technicians.
- As a result this increases costs of repair.
- Apple software is now unstable and crashes daily. (Stability was a reason it was heralded as a superior product).
- Apple has no concern for the client and does not care about customer service.
So why am I paying $2k for a machine that has less power, less HD space, less ports and has more issues?
Not anymore. Apple sucks...
They create and sell hardware containing issues just so you keep buying new models.
Exactly. They are awful.
Apple is one of the biggest corporations on Earth. The strive to keep it afloat has made them to do all things possible to cut production costs and increase retail price so as to make enough money per unit of product. The evil will continue
I agree but not with my money. I am done. I am so glad i have steemit to share with the community worldwide.
Add to that that Apple devices are never compatible with the rest of the devices. I loved when they pulled out the iPod, today I hate it.
I agree. I am never buying apple products again.

I'm sorry about that. I hope that it gets better with a new machine.
Thanks. It's my last mac. Not going through this again.
I really doubt Apple products can suck more or less for using child labor overseas. It's not a matter of everyone else does it too, but the failure of manufacturing plants hiring such young staffers. Besides, is it proven? Are other hardware manufacturers any better on this? This is such a broad subject...
I cant tell about post 2014 Apple hardware, but in my own experience I've used Apple hardware release from 2002 until 2013 and they have aged really well, no spontaneus failure. At all.
However, electronics fail from time to time. You can use Apple Care to get it fixed or fix it yourself. iFixit will show you how and sell you the parts.
BTW I'm writing this reply using my late 2012 MacBook Pro with the latest OS (that I have been getting for free and legally) and no hardware upgrades at all. Running on its original battery that lasts over 3.5 hours, with daily use.
Yeah - keep your old machine. It does not translate to their new products. So what you are experiencing is less relevant to current times. I bought my machine in January 2017. Other corporations are similar re the use of labor therefore this is systemic. You know It really behooves me when someone asks if child labor is proven. Did you know that child labor is used in Africa to mine the coltan used in phones? There are no regulations that protect children in 3rd world nations.
If you spent a hefty sum on a new machine that died on you and were treated like crap perhaps you wouldn't be so lenient. Yeah you think I didnt try to fix it myself? The logic board is soldered to the ssd. Even a certified Apple tech would not touch it - apparently only certain agencies in SFO can touch these. It's not just one machine my family has new apple machines given to them for work purposes and they crash 3-4 times a day. Keep your old mac.
Why would I spend hundreds of dollars on Apple care when they dont even use new parts - most parts they use are reconditioned? It's a money making scam. I am not paying Apple another dollar for any of their products or so called service.
interesting... everybody is complaining about latest Macpro... (not so much on macbooks or airbooks)
but!! question! what if for ten years you have been used to that quick, intuitive mac-style way of operating when you use it... and you freak out with PCs since they are dumb and slow? (I sometimes use my companion's one and it drives me nuts)
what are the alternatives for a laptop? (you may understand I have to buy one in the next future, yes? lol :-) )
friends are happy with Hackintosh, but no laptops available...
advice?
upvoted you, meanwhile :-)
