Yeah - keep your old machine. It does not translate to their new products. So what you are experiencing is less relevant to current times. I bought my machine in January 2017. Other corporations are similar re the use of labor therefore this is systemic. You know It really behooves me when someone asks if child labor is proven. Did you know that child labor is used in Africa to mine the coltan used in phones? There are no regulations that protect children in 3rd world nations.
If you spent a hefty sum on a new machine that died on you and were treated like crap perhaps you wouldn't be so lenient. Yeah you think I didnt try to fix it myself? The logic board is soldered to the ssd. Even a certified Apple tech would not touch it - apparently only certain agencies in SFO can touch these. It's not just one machine my family has new apple machines given to them for work purposes and they crash 3-4 times a day. Keep your old mac.
Why would I spend hundreds of dollars on Apple care when they dont even use new parts - most parts they use are reconditioned? It's a money making scam. I am not paying Apple another dollar for any of their products or so called service.
