RE: THE WORST PHONE NUMBER I'VE EVER RECEIVED - A RANDOM RAMBLE FROM PAPA-PEPPER

in #telemarketers7 years ago

I have been in this situation where I would get as many as 14 calls a day from telemarketers and surveys for various things. In Nicaragua when someone calls you they say "who I am talking too?" which I find extremely rude. You called me, you should know. So I generally reply "well, who am I speaking too?" and then they get all huffy. Now when people call, I listen to which language they are speaking. If it is Spanish, I ask them if they speak English. If it is in English, I ask if they speak Spanish. This usually ends the call but I did have one instance where they called me in Spanish, I said I only speak English. Click. Call ends. 10 minutes later I get the Spanish person again who says in bad English "Wait". Then I get another person who speaks English wanting to sell me Circus tickets for a city 4 hours away from me! No, I did not buy the tickets. 1. I don't like circuses. and 2 I am not driving 4 hours for something I don't like!
