"No good deed goes unpunished" This is a popular saying in many cultures that makes us reflect on human nature. We usually see this as something negative but it is nothing more than our ability as humans to survive in life.
And if we don't like it, we can always believe in Karma or any other religion. That if the benefits are collected in another life in this it is better not to wait for them to arrive.
