Here is a fact that you know instinctively, but you didn't know it was a fact. You, being out on the water and a surfer, know that once in a while a wave that is bigger than the rest of the sets that are coming in, is bigger. You have to try to paddle out real fast to keep it from breaking on you, right? So the fact is, in the large oceans of the world, 1 out of every 1,175 waves is two times bigger than the average height of the prevailing waves. So if you spend enough time in the water you will see this for yourself. Have you seen this? I know I have many times!
