Eunoia, (pronounced "yoo noy ah") meaning the goodwill a speaker establishes between themself and their audience, is the shortest word in the English language to contain all main vowels: A, E, I, O, and U.

:)

Almost is one of the longest to have all of it's letters in alphabetical order.

Nice! Begins is another one :)

Nice one Joe!!! You'll be on my list of favorite entries :-))

Thanks! Inglés - qué idioma mas raro!

Jaja, totalmente de acuerdo :-)

The most important information I ever learned, and of course it's controversial but to each their own, is that the body and it's health is based on chemistry. Within this realm there are two sides to it. One side being optimum health and the other being a break down or decline. Optimum health come from the body chemistry being alkaline or a ph level above 7.0 and decline comes from acidity build up in the body being a low ph chemistry in the body. In short it all starts with what we put in our mouths. Fruits and veggies= higher alkalinity raising the ph levels in the body allowing the lymphatic system (sewer) inside each of us to drain via the skin and kidneys. Meats, dairy's, grains and basically everything in a box or can with all the additives and chemicals create acidity build up in the body not allowing the kidneys to function properly over time shutting down the Lymphatic system equaling poor health over time. Now most will scoff at this but then ask them when they're alone and naked if they like what they see? The majority of who I see here in the states don't even need to undress. The clothes they wear easily show the condition of their health. I started living by this simple chemistry a couple years ago and all of my issues simply went away. So I suppose what I'm trying to say is the old adage is true ...... "you are what you eat." I'll simply close with this thought..... We are the only species on this mudball that eats anything and everything natural or "man made garbage." Everything else has a species specific diet. What makes one think we can just eat everything without health consequences? We are no different and when we eat acid forming foods over time dis-ease sets in. Believe it or not..................

Nicely put @stillwater, thanks for your contribution!!

I know it's not funny, but it still made me laugh :-)

As always in life, things need to be in balance. However, food is often used to compensate other deficits in life, such as social engagement. In today's society where most people live in complete abundance, only few are even able to listen to the signals sent out by their bodies. We eat too much and we eat the wrong food.

Most will pay their bill later, when their hearts and livers start to seek revenge.

Again thanks for reminding us :-)

Here is a fact that you know instinctively, but you didn't know it was a fact. You, being out on the water and a surfer, know that once in a while a wave that is bigger than the rest of the sets that are coming in, is bigger. You have to try to paddle out real fast to keep it from breaking on you, right? So the fact is, in the large oceans of the world, 1 out of every 1,175 waves is two times bigger than the average height of the prevailing waves. So if you spend enough time in the water you will see this for yourself. Have you seen this? I know I have many times!

YES, I have seen this but had no idea they could be predicted in that way.
Thanks for enlightening me :-)) You'll be among my favorites here.

I'll go with a random fact about my city. Cape Town's Route 62 Is the World's Longest Wine Route. Any takers to try and visit them all? Lol

Oh Cape Town is definitely on my list of places to visit! Thanks for the reminder :-))

Did you know that a Blue whales tongue can be more or less the same size/weight as of an adult African elefant... =)@surfermarly

There’s an octupus that uses cocunuts as both a form of protection & transportation...Among other uses such as hiding and stalking prey.

Apparently, It’s one of the only octopi that uses tools !

Thats cool, post a picture or video or something, I love creative animals...

I added some stuff in my response to marly 😎

Ha, that's a really cool fact! I do agree with @friendly-fenix here: a picture or video would be cool Do you know how the species is called exactly?

From wiki:

“Amphioctopus marginatus, also known as the coconut octopus and veined octopus, is a medium-sized cephalopod belonging to the genus Amphioctopus. It is found in tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It commonly preys upon shrimp, crabs, and clams, and displays unusual behavior including bipedal walking and tool use (gathering coconut shells and seashells and using these for shelter).”

Some youtubes:

This 1 it’s using seashells

😎

That's amazing, thanks for the links!!!

People spend more time sitting on a toilet seat than exercising 😀😀

I'm pretty sure I could be the exception of the rule then :-D

Yes you are an exception

The average person has fewer than 2 legs.

Ehm.........?

Lower limb amputees are running (sic) at around 750 people per million.
If we divide all those legs between all those people we get 1.99925 legs each :)

Haha, I had never thought about it like this :-))

"Percussive Maintenance" is a technical term for hitting something until it works :D

Haha, have you been practicing it by yourself already? :-))
