Topic: TokenBB trending // Suggestions

I saw the thread by bafi, but i wanted to do another one with my thoughts on how i think you should do the trending page.
This is just something i came up with off the top of my head based on what ive been seeing on other forum sites.

  1. There should be what i would describe as a "global trending page" based on long term metrics. That would be a short list of the most popular forums. Other forums could be listed in "other forums" with the same metrics and based on general topics
  2. Each forum should have a thread trending page that would take into account views/engagement/.. Spam might be a problem a bit, so i would give the power to forum owner/forum moderator to flag spam comments which would in turn eliminate the comments from the engagement metric. (could lead to censorship, but the forum is payed for and the forum owner should be allowed to moderate the comments made.)
  3. If you decide to do a "one page fits all" (instead of seperate tabs like on Steemit) i would suggest you do a live feed of comments (cut if too long) on your starting page from all threads (If TokenBB takes off you can adjust that to comments made on trending threads).
The reason for this is to create a dynamic feel. That things are happening. Someone might pick up a comment that they have something to say on, on a thread they wouldnt visit otherwise. (which leads to more engagement, forum owners are happy. etc.)

A few thoughts. :D
