Childhood wouldn't have been as Awesome without these great toys!! I am so grateful I grew up in such an area where toys were at their prime! Now days, all kids want are electronics.
They will never know the true joy of a simple toy
I thought I would share with all of you some of my favorite toys growing up, and some may relate!
Water Baby
I carried My water baby around even after it got a hole and had no water left in it. I loved the shit outta this baby!
Super Nintendo
Of course I played on one of these babies! My brother and I had a huge box that we cut a hole the size of our small TV screen ans sat the box as close as we could to the TV. We played while inside the box while our hamsters ran wild in there.
Nano Pet
I had a puppy that would always die after a few days of forgetting about him, ans not feeding or cleaning him. I could always revive it. Best pet for a kid!
Skip It
It was always a competition of who could skip the highest number! Great way to get some exercise! I got mine for my birthday one year from an uncle.
Doodle Bear
A toy that could be drawn all over on and it was ok cause it would wash out! You could customize it the way you wanted it.
Real Talkin Bubba Bear
O man I LOVED my bubba bear! I took that bear EVERYWHERE I went! He was like a best friend. it was probably the first toy i had that actually talked. If i help his mouth shut he woud say in a muffled voice to let go. If i held him upside down he would say something like "Hey let me down!" he did a lot of cool things like that. I loved this guy!
Glow Worm
I had this toy when i was a little younger and i thought it was the coolest because his face would light up so i never needed a night light. Nothing better than a night light you can snuggle!!
Furby
My furby was awesome! He was another one of those talking toys that would react to the things you did. Like, tickle, pet, put hand over eyes, and clapping.
Betty Spaghetti
Betty was able to come apart into a bunch of pieces. you could put her back together and pull her apart. That was how i would change her outfits too. All of her limbs would bend in any way. Also i could put all these cool beads in her spaghetti hair.
Lite Brite
This was a game where you would put a paper in frot of a box lite, I could put different colored pegs in the hole slots behind the paper to make a certain colorful image. It was like Christmas lights but cooler cause I could make pictures with it!
Polly Pocket
It was cool cause I could take this anywhere. Little dolls that would fit in their little house that would close up and fit right in my pocket.
starcraft
OMG I love these toys! Legos were also my favorite! Sadly my parents couldn't afford to get me the larger Polly Pocket toys but I LOVED THEM! ALso FURBY OMG! And Light brite!
And skip it.
Seriously we had the coolest toys! I wish that I could play with them again. Except with the extra money I have now. I'd buy the biggest Polly Pocket set LOL.
No joke!! Haha i wore my toys down to nothing so i didn't keep any of them. But a couple years ago for christmas my parents got me bubba bears they found. Great keep sakes
I upvote U
I thought that my daughter looked just like a glow worm when she was all swaddled up as a newborn. Skip it was the worst toy ever! as soon as you got going fast it smacked you in the shin. Care Bears were my absolute favorite I had all the bears.
haha That is true, I forgot about that shin hit! They hurt pretty dang bad!
OMG Carebears! Those were so cute! I never had one though LOL>
Those skip its were brutal but so addicting and fun, I would seriously buy myself one right now. In fact maybe they have an adult version? LOL>
OMG.
tears of happiness.
COOL!!
Thanks! I know, a walk down memory lane!
RIGHT? Exactly how I feel!
