When I see the control the Chinese Government uses on the internet; It makes me wonder what kind of controls governments could exert on cryptocurrency??
I may have a solution for you. When I was in China some people helped me out with getting Google to work.
You should go to baidu search engine and search something like "hosts file 2017 july" or something like that. You have to replace your own hosts file with the one you'll download and you got Google and such for around a month before you need to download a new one in my experience.
I don't really remember the entire process of doing this, but you should be able to find a tutorial if you can read Chinese, unlike me :P
@boxmining What about the steaming service "twitch"? When @zedomax was blocked from YouTube, the entire Advanced HODL Tech community followed him there seamlessly. Good luck and #effcensorship !!

Michael. I can get you connectivity outside the Firewall without the use of VPN. When I was in Beijing I threw up a beefy VM in Azure in our Hong Kong datacenter and from there I could get to whatever I wanted.
Please let me know if you'd like me to spin up a VM for you for like a week....free of charge and I'll provide you the login details.
Getting rid off all governments.... paradise!
take it light. It is a fun journey.
That's a scary note to read, the government decided what is accessible or not for something as mundane as YouTube...

Michael, behave while in China. Don't start a revolution, use mints to calm the YouTube withdrawal symptoms.
LBRY will solve this. Soon...
Hopefully!
Well, there's also View.ly that is another decentralized video platform.
lol great advice. :D
Wow thats crazy, the censorship in China is pretty insane.
Get the Cantenna out and jump onto the neighbours internet :P
seems like they are cracking down on VPNs recently. don't know why
Long way to go on the freedom of speech front over there :( This is why we need blockchain!

There's always Pornhub and Cheetos.com.
It is a communist country after-all mate... what did you expect?
@boxmining You can post your videos here on Steemit using a service like Viewly. (sort of a decentralized YouTube)

Try to download green VPN or super VPN on your phone.

I am confused, can you just install your own vpn like open-vpn, or proton vpn? Or do you have to use there computers only? no wifi?
Terrible. Your videos are some of the best and most consistent. Good luck ;-(
Wow! That's not good :(
The logo on the sheet looks like the Steemit logo. Coincidence?
Coincidence!? I Think Not!
