Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @softa:

If you are going to visit the Great America quarry. So visit also the village of Morinka, which is nearby. Above this village stands Menhir from which is a beautiful view of the surroundings. For views, you can sit in a concrete armchair next to Menhir.

I rewarded @softa winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other photos.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

For today I chose a classic picture from Hradčanské Square. You can see the Archbishop's Palace, Matthias Gate and St. Vitus Cathedral. The only time a square is without people is early in the morning. I made this photo in May last year on my way to work.

Once again an amazing pic that deserves to be featured! It does pay of to get up early and enjoy Prague and its major attractions in peace!

This is one my photos I took during a hike from the Karlstejn Castle to Velka and Mala Amerika (Big and Small Americas) - two abandoned and partly flooded quarries located in the Central part of the Czech Republic near the Morina village. I am not really sure which one of the two is it, we visited the place several years ago. I can only remember it was beautiful :)

I think your photo is from Little America :)

Photo of the Old New Synagogue and the the Jewish Town Hall clocks located in Josefov, Prague. It is the oldest active synagogue in Europe. The photo shows the façade with its Gothic style. There is a legend that the body of Golem lies in its loft.

It's definitely true that Prague isn't nearly as cheap as it used to be, and that it's also amazingly crowded if you follow the main tourist routes between the top sights, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't continue to be a relative bargain.

Church of St. John of Nepomuk on the Little Rock, street Vyšehradská, New Town, Praha 2, View from the monastery garden of the Benedictine monastery in Emmaus.
In a few weeks the trees are covered in leaves. Then the church from that place will be invisible again for a year.

Great job you got it captured! Thank you.

Thank you. Praise will please everyone.

For today's entry, I chose this shot. I am sure that every tourist who has visited Cesky Krumlov has such a photo.
Well I'm no exception, I also took a shot from this place, where opens a great panorama of this fabulous town.

Planýrka is place in Brno where you can find a lot of greenery. It is almost in the center of Brno but it is not usually too crowded. Unfortunately, that is going to change soon because they are planning to build new apartment complex there ☹ Not on the whole Planýrka (they will cut just a little piece of it) but real close.

In Krkonoše Mountains you can find a lot of nice path for hiking. This time we were lucky to find this place (Hotel Labska Bouda) which protected us from heavy rain. For me this style of architecture in the mountains was a little bit suprising.

The Old Town Square is located in the historic center of the city called Old Place. Find it is not difficult, it is noted on all maps and guidebooks.
On the Old Town Square stands a monument to Jan Hus. This Czech reformer, for his criticism of the Catholic Church, was declared a heretic and burned at the stake. The monument appeared on this place 500 years later.

For today I deciced to share this picture of a fountain in the middle of the Svoboda square in Brno. Apart from that you can see the famous black clock in the background. I recommend opening the picture in high resolution :) As you can see there are often some activities, that day it was Easter holidays :)

Definetaly this needs to be 1 of the winning photos

Thank you so much for your support and this lovely comment :) Made my day! :)

Prague, Old Town Square. Today I show a picture I made of the tower of the old town hall. Below, people gather around every full hour to see a small attraction on the Orloj clock. A nice place and from the tower you have a fantastic view of the city and the old town architecture.

Státní opera Praha. One of the prominent European opera scenes resides in a neo-Renaissance building with an abundantly decorated interior. The theater was premiered in 1881 with Wagner's opera "The Masters Singers of Nuremberg" as the German scene in Prague. With its spacious auditorium as well as its decoration in neo-rococo style it belongs to the most beautiful theater buildings in Europe. State Opera is an institutional part of the National Theater, opera and ballet companies perform in its scene.

Jan Skácel

This statue is located in Špilberk Park, near the castle, above Pellicova Street. The stylised head of Jan Skácel is made of steel tubes welded together and placed on a pedestal made of limestone. The face is turned towards Staré Brno (Old Brno).

This 1796 vocal score transcript of Mozart’s Magic Flute is in honor of Milos Forman, as a nod to his own masterpiece Amadeus. You can find this copy at the Czech Museum of Music in Prague.

Yep, commnets like this lead absolutely nowhere. Sooner or later people will realize they actually have an opposite effect.

Weather is better every day, tourists are starting to breed (;-)) and it is therefore necessary to get them attractive. One of the attractions will surely be boat trips along the Vltava River. Here the boats are caught in the Rašínovo nábřeží in Prague. In the left-hand background is a piece of Dancing House.

Křivoklat castle on a gloomy day. The castle was founded in the 12th century. You can find it only about 50 min drive from Prague. Perfect for day trips out of Prague!
