For our trip to New Zealand, we went full Lord of the Ring mode. And where is the best place to sleep? In Tongariro national park AKA the Mordor! Parking our van on the side of the road, we had this amazing view of the mountain surrounding mount doom.
Fortunately, no orc backstabbed us in our sleep :)
