RE: Our First 24 hours of Vegan Eating in Girona, Spain... Wow!

in #travel8 years ago

I used to be a pescatarian until I became lactose intolerant after being ill in India 2 years ago. My husband was a meat eater although he never ate it at home. Once I cut out all dairy he did that at home too and after watching a few documentaries on Netflix he decided to go full vegan while I made the subtle transition from my no meat, no dairy diet.

My health improved instantly, obviously the pain of being lactose intolerant disappeared but so did my sinusitis. I used to have constant bloked noses and it would stop me breathing in my sleep. So getting rid of that was a lovely side effect. My skin is also the best it's ever been.

My top tip when planning your travels is searching on instagram because if people have tagged the location it will link you to a map and/or website. I chose to fly here after searching #vegangirona . I've found a lot of people share menu adaptions too so you can easily find places that are vegan friendly who don't necessarily advertise as such.

My blog is still forming now. I think it will just be about my life, what ever I'm doing. Mostly my life revolves around my pregnancy, my rescue dogs, art, travel and veganism. I hope you'll enjoy it all. :)
