Wow was yesterday crazy! I flew to Denver Colorado with my boyfriend! We checked into our suite. I've never stayed in something so nice before! It's incredible.
- Full sized kitchen
- A Swivel TV so you can watch tv in bed or in the living room area. (My boyfriend was way excited about this one).
- A huge bathroom.
*Our rental Car *
What a bizarre place!
Denver is truly bizarre, After getting off our flight, We went to the grocery store for snacks. We didn't know if we would have an oven or not, So we weren't sure what kind of food to grab. I expected Denver to be this HUGE city, But so far it's just been an empty field and landscape. With the occasional mountain range. It's funny; I've never been to Colorado even though it's our next door neighbor (Utah).
I love all the weeds and yellow! Yellow is my favorite color, Yet it's everywhere.
Today was pretty relaxed; We were tired from the craziness of getting through the airport and such. We even rented a car!
We Went To A Dispensary
A lot of people think that we decided to come here just for the weed. But that's not the case. Everywhere else was SUPER expensive. Because everyone is traveling right now. This was one place that wasn't too ridiculously priced.
But we figured since it's illegal in Utah. We should try it while we are here.
Garry and I have always been for legalizing marijuana. Even though we haven't tried it ourselves. We believe that the government has no right to tell us what we can and can't use. And Marijuana isn't bad for you like alcohol and cigarettes. Although we are against smoking Marijuana. Because smoking anything sounds like it would be bad for your lungs. (I Haven't done research into this though). But obviously, If you choose to smoke it. It's your choice, and you have a right to make that decision for yourself.
We felt so out of place in the dispensary. I expected it to be like a grocery store, Where we could walk around and grab what we want. But instead, I felt like I was at a smelly doctors office LOL. We had to sit and wait for our turns to be let into the back room. Which we then looked at the products through the glass. We picked out some edibles. Which we later realized we bought wayyyyy too much when we got back Because we aren't used to it. All the employees seemed SUPER happy... LOl!
We got little chocolate things, Which according to the usage recommendation we needed to cut into TEN PIECES! Wow, I didn't expect it to be so strong!
I ended up eating a couple of MG of it. While Garry at the 1 recommended. I had a raging headache later, Dehydration maybe?
The effects weren't as crazy as I expected. I felt extremely happy, Giddy and hyper. More so than usual. But overall it was a pretty good feeling.
Next time I'm going to drink a lot more water, so I don't get a really bad headache.
Yum Asian And Sushi
For dinner, we went to a place called Yum Asian and sushi! The food was soo good! It had unique flavors! I got the sweet and spicy chicken. Garry got the Curry! ( I should have made him take a photo LOL)
All photos are mine, except for the first one.
@lauralemons Drew me !

رائع و ممتاز يا اخى
I lived in Colorado for about 15 years... yeah I did go to the dispensary too 😂🍃
I have a friend who has lived there about 5 years... he was super happy when Broncos got the cup an year or two ago.
I was in denver in 98 and 99... and was there for 2001 avalanche... Brings back memories lol
Ow... the good old 98' and 99'... even 2001 was epic. It was super cool living in that age.
Ha ha. You might have to stay there for a few weeks to use up all that weed!
Late welcome to Colorado! Glad you enjoyed your stay and shared your experiences. Much obliged. Steem On my friend.
Thank you heheh :) I'm still here so I'll be posting more hehe.
Super dank, never tried cooking with marijuana before may need to try it out when I visit Colorado.
You should!!! :)
Haha yes! One day :)
Oh my goodness! That sweet and spicy chicken looks amazing! It is so well glazed! Mouthwatering!
Cheers
@progressivechef
Hmmmmmmmm spicy chicken.
Well since it's about ColoRADo, I obviously had to check out your post. ;) Really we are about a lot more than just legalization here (although that's great too). There are so many beautiful places to explore (and if you're like me camp), it seems discovering new beautiful scenery is never ending! Also, the airport is just far out from Denver...there's much more going on as you get into town (even though I mostly stay away from the city and in the mountains). :)
Ha haaa! fun blog God bless America! you should read my travel blog, i think you would like it! just posted a blog about TOKYO! https://steemit.com/blog/@landeberg/5-tokyo-pros-and-cons-travel-blog
Thank you!
Haha oh my gosh, I love how you thought the dispensary smelled like a smelly doctor's office! Good idea about drinking more water next time, but I'm glad you had a good experience. Have you heard the term "pulling a Maureen Dowd"? It describes a funny story of how a reporter tried a weed edible for the first time and freaked out in her hotel room. Glad that didn't happen to you guys!
I think it's awesome you're treating yourself to a fun vacation with your boyfriend. :)
Haha very understandable, had pretty paranoid trip my first time. Also a bad experience with my first time with edibles, had too much at once and threw up at the airport in Denver as I was going home. Not let that happen again lol
I bet the Denver airport is veeeeery used to that by now haha. And I can relate, I had way too much of an edible my first time and was convinced I was stuck in a time loop.
Haha been there before, kinda lets you experience time differently. Time is that of an illusion.
Nice. Good share.
Cool. Thanks for the nice post.
@kaylinart hehe entartaining story :) In Poland even medical marijuana is illegal. Still the is a plan to make it legal soon so hopefully government will understand that sometimes it may help!
If you will find a minute kindly please check my new story about the market Koszyki (polish- shopping basket) in Warsaw. A modern, fashionable and glamorous hot place to meet, chat and eat :) cheers!
Pretty cool, it's all new to me these dispensaries and how they are setup. Interesting the different forms and flavors sounds like it was a fun trip. It's great to be open to new things , happy trails!!
Awesome except for the headache. Edibles don't agree with everyone, just like CBD oil doesn't work for everyone. You gotta figure out what works for you and that's just trial and error! Good luck!
very helpful
I've never ingested marijuana in any way. I've always (like you) been of the opinion that smoking anything is a bad idea. But I would be totally open to trying some edibles.
It will be legal where I am very soon. Maybe then I'll try it.
My brother lives in Denver! I'll be visiting at some point this summer and definitely hitting up the dispensaries, although I'll probably tour them a bit more LOL! Love the post! I love Denver bud, but Illinois Medical Cannabis is topping it!
Lemon fruit tarts! Yum!!
Amazing yourPost that you make very good I hope you always succeed and get a good achievement every post, before who want the word is you want to help me in steemit so I got something better than before, if you are pleased of course I am very happy and thank you And really appreciate your struggle and hard work in steemit.thanks you
You didn't try it?!
Sounds like a good trip. Get it... get it! Like trip, but also trip!!! ;)
Resteemed!
That is very good private at home, i like it
So, you like travel, or just the trip??? Lol
Nice home!
Lmao thats awesome Lin!! Seems like the sativa worked great on you. Maybe try indica next
nice place girl
I'm originally from Colorado, and may end up back there in a couple years, so it's nice to see the scenery. That swivel TV sounds awesome!
Edibles for your first time is bold, but I guess if you're buying from a dispensary you're probably alright at the suggested dosage. Most people find edibles to be stronger than smoking, and it's more difficult to predict how they'll affect you because of the slow buildup.
gotta be carefull these edibles out here can be really strong!!
Love Denver we relax there often. It is growing like crazy right now though. Fort Collins old town is fun . And if you are in to rural mountain area s Nederland is awsome .
Enjoy! Keep On Steemin On!!

That was freakin awesomeness.
Looks like good fun.Sure making my hungry .... time to eat :)
That is awesome @kaylinart ! I actually just moved back to the bay area! Definitely come out and check out the culture out here, it is amazing! The dispensaries are awesome but starting January 1st 2018 you will be able to buy over the counter just like Colorado! Glad to connect, brand new on here and i loved the post!
Hey fellow Utahn! Funny isn't it, I expected Denver to be a huge city just like you. I was shocked to see it looked smaller than Salt Lake City!
I understand what you mean when you say you felt out of place in the dispensary. They are really set up in a unique way, the laws requiring them to check every ID before letting you in creates some awkward waiting scenarios. I have found though, the dispensaries that are making you wait in a lobby are generally better than ones that just let everyone crowd into the purchase room. It's no fun to be in a crowded room where everyone is just trying to get their goods. I have some awkward experiences to share about my own dispensary visits (:
In the future, if you want to try cannabis again, I would recommend a good old fashioned joint. Those seem to give a unique effect that is not like the effect ones gets from edibles, the effect is less sedating and shorter. Also a good trick I have learned, is ask for their lowest potency. Colorado dispo's often focus only on bud in the 19%+ THC, but I have found my best experiences come from bud that is closer to 15%THC. You can ask for less potent bud :) the budtender understands.
Yes! Dehydration comes faster when stoned! Also the elevation of Denver is a little higher than the residential benches in Utah.
This is the solution :)
Maybe when you get back to UT we can do dinner or something? My wife and I would love to meet you and your boyfriend and talk about crypto, steemit, voluntary living, and whatever else! Sage's Cafe is one of my favorite spots.
Much Love!
Cute. Burn dem weed!
Damn. Definitely a nice time you're having. Your boyfriend must be a lucky guy :). What is the name of that Asian dish?
Thank you <3
