Second Part of Looking around the tombs of early BaekJae Dynasty

in #travel7 years ago

Seokchondong BaekJae dynasty tomb area seemed to be something special in its location. I had posted about the location of graveyard in Korea some days ago. In that posting I wrote most of tombs were located in the mountain.

https://steemit.com/culture/@slowwalker/why-grave-yards-in-mountain-in-korea

But Seokchondong BaekJae dynasty tombs were located on the flat area. I don’t know the reason why. It is little bit different to compare between early and late BaekJae dynasty tomb location. In GongJoo kings’s tomb was located in the mountain area as below and it was believed late BaekJae dynasty.

https://steemit.com/travel/@slowwalker/the-traditional-resort-in-gong-joo-korea

The flat area where the tombs were located in was a nice park to many people. The tomb area was widely open, so everyone could enjoy walking and taking a rest.

I saw many people rest in the tomb area. The tomb area was all but park.
Grandmas get together under the trees.

someone prepared for lunch and took a lunch together.

Strange thing is that male is alway alone anywhere.

But look ! grandmas, they are not alone anywhere.

Solitude and loneliness seems to be the destiny of male.

But daddy and son were always friendly and happy anywhere in earth. They were busy to take dragonflies

.

Pigeons were gathered around me. Maybe they want something to eat from me.

In one corner, I could see old clay pieces in excavation site.

The pattern of the pottery seemed to be so old

It was too much hot, so I ran into the Cafe and ordered ice coffee.

I ‘d like to visit another BaekJae dynasty tombs far from here. I gave up and took a rest for a while.

Sort:

I went last summer - amazing holiday. Do go everyone !

Nice pictures, but maybe you need to play with the in camera white balance a bit, and I say that because of the yellow tint. I like nature and historic sites a lot, so when you combine them is perfect.

Thank you so much

Nice captures.
Follow me @xevensolution

Usual this places look a bit depresing but this one not :)

so much history surrounds you, @slowwalker, that pieces of ancient pottery that would be treasured in North America are discarded on an excavation site and people turn the tombs of early BaekJae Dynasty into a park site. Such irony here.

I've noticed before in your photos that there is a traditional separation of the sexes in Korea. I'm thinking back to your post on a traditional house with a shrine and the ‘Ahn Chae’ where the lady of the house lived. Perhaps this could account in part for what you observe regarding the solitary men, although I suspect by nature women tend to be more social.

Your photos were tiny pictures, glimpses into day to day life around Seoul and they highlight how people enjoy the outdoors and relaxing.

Without family life, solitude and loneliness would seem to be the destiny of the male, @slowwalker :)

Hahaha
Thank you @johnjgeddes

you're welcome, my friend :)

People look so happy and relaxed. Beautiful place. I would love to visit there once.

first of all i want to say that this tomb arae baekjae dynasty is initself so great because if we read the ancient history of this history we have come to know some thing about this dynasty that BAEKJE FORMED AN ALLIANCE WITH THE SILLA KINGDOM BETWEEN 433 & 553 CE & ENJOYED ITS GREATEST PERIOD OF PROSPERITY. So it is cleared here that this dynasty is so much ancient and these tombs are teeling the great history of that time ,
Secondly on the other hand i would like to say something here about the post of you you not only tell us about the tombs history and beautiful pictures in some of your previous and recent post but more importantly you aware us the whole area and sorroudings of that tombs area .
i like the pic of that son and father capturing the spiders or dragon flies that is so much intresting and that thing showing the real love of this post and thirdly the old womens i mean to say the grand maa's are siting and relaxing their time in the flat area of this tomb area that is also so much good scenes in this posts , the man in alone is not alone i think he is wondering somewhere and thinking somthing but you capture all the people in your camera thats the beauty of a camera man that he always captured all the scenes in his camera , and the same i can see in this post you captured the smily people with young age and the over aged people in the form of grand mothers and the alone man and in last you also focused on these beautiful pigeons who are awaiting of you to get feeded by you and you captured them as well and in the last the old stone or clay pcs i think these are so much old that are showing that its a ancient place in the modern korea and it say in it self that that you are in a ancient place and its good to see you here in tombs area in korea , i hope you have a wonderful experience there and i enjoyed alot all of these pics and i hope you also enjoyed alot there and also the ice cream after the hectic routine in this summer hot season , thanks for sharing this great post , steem on dear

It seems like there is some more beautiful areas that surround the tomb.
So much history and culture in such a small area
Great Photographs @slowwalker

Beautiful pictures and funny narrative. Maybe the men prefer to be alone?

I can't believe the pottery sherds are just lying there.

There are too much pieces of pottery broken

Hahaha! Male are always alone! You make me smile with this quote @slowwalker!
In my country it is actually winter here!
Cheers
@progressivechef

Feels more like a park from the jolly and light atmosphere there. :)

I wish I would visit this place soon great and amazing place

Visit korea at anytime.
I will guide you

A wonderful post about the past and the modern and their combination. I like your posts, life in Korea is so different from life and Ukraine, although there are also many common things!

Ukraine is my bucket list

어디지 했네요.
나름 도심속의 휴식공간이네요

조오씁니다

Very Nice !

Me gusta caminar por los parques, pero no se compara con la naturaleza sin modificar, el ser humano crea parques cuando ya hay parquees naturales

Buena tarde en el parque, gracias por compartir tu vivencia. Saludos!!

I think the male may be enjoying the peace and quiet! LOL!

Really interesting observations about the females that sit together vs. the man sitting alone.

I like looking at your world in your perspective. Thanks for sharing. You always notice the most interesting things.

Thank you
Nice meet you here

Same! I really like how your photos capture life! I still remember this one photo you posted of a green frogs head in an abandon house. Very moving.

Another interesting post my friend @slowwalker. Thank you!
Did you ask your mother about the reason for the Mountain graves?

Lol
She didn't know the reason. Hahaha

Well it was worth asking - thanks

summertime, summertime, summ, summ, summertime

Nice pictures

Nice. Shared with my followers :-)

Thank you so much

You are very welcome @slowwalker :-)

I like to travel with you in your stories. Your photos are always on top! Thank you friend!)))

Gray pigeon is gorgeous!

Thank you, @slowwalker. I guess, my question in your last post: Early Baekjae dynasty tomb in Seoul, has got the answer even though I did not find any explanation. It's okay. Hopefully one day, we will understand why they make a kind of mound resembling a hill to bury when they are not buried in the hills or on high ground.

Reasonable expectation in my guess

Ya, never mind.

Hello Friend @slowwalker! I am pleased to travel with you! You are very interesting talks about the places where you were. Photos are exciting! Look my trip, I hope you enjoy it:
