It is believed that Yin Gak Sa temple was built in Shilla dynasty, but exact period was not known.
When I came by the temple, there were lots of ruined stones at the corner of the ground.
I got there and looked around those stone ruined. It seemed that those stone ruins were made in late Shilla dynasty era.
There were the piles of the ruined roof tiles on the other side of the ground.
While walking through the ruins, I felt that the ruins seemed to tell how our ancestors had lived.
@slowwalker,
I think this temple had to face a very bad time from wars! It's a shame, just imagine how wonderful it could be if those buildings were not impacted on such bad things happened!
Cheers~
Wow I think it tells a story of the artistry of the korean ancestory and the fact that the way they lived is really splendid, these stones must've really survived so many centuries, awesome pictures of all the stones
Wioow.. Awesome post... I love your photography..my dear friend @slowwalker
The stones are really becoming witnesses of our history.
It would be very interesting to listen to them: -)
I'm Sure they have something to tell us!
They've seen so much in their lifetime.
Thank you very much for the photos, @Slowwalker .
These are unique historical witnesses of the past.
Actually, these etiquettes are not so rigid and could vary among regions (even families)! So don't fret if you can't remember them. Just ask or observe. As a Chinese saying goes, heartfelt sincerity goes a long way.
@slowwalker, that's amazing stone ruins indeed there. Seemed like tile modules. You found glorious things this time. Brilliant photo shots collection.

Warm regard from Indonesia
a good place! Good temple! Yes, these ruins store a lot of things)
It is hard to even imagine how much harder life would be way back. Much more time was spent on necessities like food, shelter and warmth! I appreciate you showing us what you see.
The history is written in those stones, the carving, the pattern, shapes everything carries a bit of their past. That is why they are kept how they are. I noticed the stand stone of former stone lantern.
The tiles of roofs are also organized in a pile. Are they just there to display for viewing only, or are they going to be used for anything. It would be good to see that people re-use them so that the history continue to live.
They are beautiful stones.
I bet there is a story there thanks so much for sharing
I can't Believe how someone would have taken the time to Stack up all of those Roof tiles in such an efficient way.........@slowwalker
