Much of my childhood was spent near trees. I lived in the foothills of the Shawangunk Mountains. All we had to do was cross our backyard and we were in the forest. I was more comfortable with trees than with people. Recently, I started drawing with simple paint/Gimp applications. Of course I drew trees. There's a difference between looking at something and trying to capture that idea in a picture. I think that by drawing the trees I was going back to childhood and losing myself in the forest once again. Lovely, lovely trees in your pictures. I love #7 especially. That shot could have been taken on one of my childhood treks.
