My neighbourhood is full of old trees, and the council has decided it's time for them all to go as they are damaging the pavements.
The locals are horrified at this, yet it's still happening.
In fact, it's so crazy that the council are sending out their tree demolishers in 'morning raids' so that the local protestors aren't there to stop them...
I'm so sad for you too! They still haven't cut any down...it's almost like I'm being taunted, although I don't want to lose my tree. My guy who delivers my groceries commented yesterday about the number of ribbons in the neighborhood and how bare it was going to be. Winter in this street has always been so beautiful because of the beauty of the snow falling on the tree lined street. It almost takes you back in time. This year is going to be so different! I'm sorry for your loss as well!
