Hey Friends
It Is Tree Tuesday Time!
Time to get those tree pics up! Feel free to leave your link in my description! I will get to you, but it takes me a while. In the meantime spend a few minutes supporting your fellow tree Tuesday posters!
For these photos we went on a hike. To get to this vantage point was a bit of a climb! See that is our lake way down below there!
Now this tree is in real trouble. I would say it was caught red handed causing damage! It knocked the fence cap off and is doing its best to bust up the fence.
I saw this branch laying on the ground. See anything strange?
Seems more bent than straight!
The pines here only have branches with needles way at the top!
I love the bark on this one!
Thanks for stopping by!

Nice shots of those tall pines. I like that perspective looking straight up the trunk.

Nice one!
The last bark photo!! So beautiful! Wouldn't that be fab on a wall? or a piece of furniture? I think.
I don't get the thing with the bent branch? And no I didn't dye my hair blonde.
How do you capture the upward shots? I tried and failed. What settings did you use on your camera?? Please??
I don't ask many questions, do I?
Here's my budding photos.
Well I wasnt trying to do a secret meaning or even double entendre. I just never seawa branch that grows in nearly a circle. Do you?
On the upwards shots, the settings always depends if you want a lot of the trunk in focus or just a sliver. If you want a sliver you use a lower f/stop aperture setting. If you want as much of the trunk in focus, you use a large f/stop number. I chose to split the difference and go with f/8 according to the camera data.
My short 2 minute vid might help some...
You should post this video - super helpful. You're a way better teacher than the photography videos I watch. The demonstration was very good for me bc I am a visual learner. Thank you my friend, I sincerely appreciate you posting this and for the f/stop info.
After I get my taxes done tomorrow....I am hoping to get out and get some bird photos. My lens is not broken. Hurray!!
Lovely texture of that bark and what amazing shape of the branch.

Nature is the biggest creator of miracles :)
I like that bark also, resembles the skin of an old elephant(that's how I imagine, I've never been so close to an elephant). I have succeeded in posting in the last second, this is: https://steemit.com/travel/@bluemoon/these-miracles-called-trees

As for me, you found a wooden horseshoe for luck;)
That is a good way to look at it :)
Looks as if you were barking up the right tree... ;)
😄😇😄
There is so much to photograph with trees. All the parts, and cool branches, like your curvaceous one. Odd little thing. Looks a bit like a cherry, or maybe an Ailanthus tree. Does it smell bad? (We used to have to do wood ID in school by smell. Not that easy all the time.) Love the tree bark photo.
