Unifying our tribes came full circle last night when our Steemit crew all met in one place...our place, for a wonderful, Earth conscious, healthy meal. @RichardCrill and his partner @LindseyLambz came all the way from Texas to visit Oregon, so I felt is was appropriate to invite them over for dinner before they left town. It just so happened that both @KennysKitchen and @Alchemage were also free that night, and gladly came over to share in this meal. I also was happy to meet the wonderful woman Kenny has been spending time with, who is also named Lindsay, and just opened a Steemit account as @theLynx. I guess you could say it became a Steemit dinner party.
I recently had an epiphany about the future of the Steemit blockchain. I know everyone has been feeling a sense of uncertainty as Steem's value continues to drop, however it is not the current financial value that we should be focused, it should be this platform's intrinsic value, which many are overlooking, that garners our attention. The conscious community we are building here is unparalleled to anything else I have ever been a part of, and the evolution of self I have experienced through Steemit has made me re-dedicate my life to healing the Earth, and teaching other's how to do the same.
The Recipe
This is my recipe & cooking process for completely organic, non-GMO, vegan, spicy chilly.
Black Beans
Tomatoes
Strained Tomatoes
Serrano Peppers
Red Bell Pepper
Green Bell Pepper
Red Onion
Live Basil
Oregano
Celery
Italian Seasoning
Tyme
Turmeric
Ginger
Black Pepper
Cayenne Pepper
Lintel Soup
Rice
Red Potatoes
The Live Basil was also grown locally in Oregon, and was one of the key ingredients for the flavor I was going for. It still sits growing in our kitchen window.
Kenny also brought over a wonderful salad and shiitake mushroom dressed blend as a topping for the chilly. I also provided nutritional yeast as a vegan cheese substitute topping. The mushroom blend was so popular that there was hardly any left before I could get a photo. The salad was also delicious, and complimented the chilly perfectly.
.
The first and most time consuming step was preparing the beans in a pressure cooker. This was my first time using a pot like this, and I honestly had no idea what I was doing. We were eventually able to figure it out, thanks to the other chef's in the house. Thank you @alchemage for providing the pressure cooker, thank you @lindseylambs for helping me set it up, and thank you @kennyskitchen for helping to finish it, and washing the pot afterwards.
Cooking the beans was by far the most time consuming part of this process, but once they were done, I was finally able to add them to the mixing pot for the chilly.
While I was waiting on the beans, I also prepared an organic smoothie for everyone as an appetizer. I will not list all the ingredients for this, but I will say there were over 30 of them, and I used bananas, mangoes, cranberries, and cherry cider for an extra kick of unique flavor.
I also simultaneously cooked the rice and red potatoes at the same time as the beans. The rice was to be a base for the chilly topping, while the red potatoes were boiled, and then chopped for a side dish. Be warned however that mixing beans and potatoes has been known to cause gas in some people.
Next, I mixed the chopped produce, herbs, and spices with the freshly cooked beans.
After mixing the veggies and herbs, it was time to add the strained tomatoes. This added some liquidity to the meals composition.
The last official ingredient I mixed in was a can of Amy's organic Spanish rice and red bean soup. This added a little more liquidity to the meal, which gave it the proper consistency I was going for.
I also made sure to separate some of the mix into a smaller pot for @alchemage before adding the serranos and cayenne, as he does not like food that is too spicy.
After mixing all the ingredients, I let the chilly cook down the veggies slightly (about 45 mins), but still left them slightly crunchy also for a spicy crujiente chilly. All that was left to do was serve up the love.
COME N' GET IT!!
Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the meal, and achieved full bellies in a short time. That is always a compliment to the chef, and was happy that the meal became a combined effort, just like our projects. It is truly amazing what we can accomplish when we work together - for better meals, and a better world!
This dinner meeting of minds was one to remember, and I made sure to document it well for sharing. We are all here to help heal the Earth and humanity, uniting our fellow conscious brothers and sisters together, so we can wake up those that are still asleep, and manifest a better world each day. We love you, and are here for you - and will never give up on creating a life of health, freedom, and prosperity for this planet, and our people.
P.S. - Wayne not Zayne is one of my roommates, and someone I hope converts to Steemit one day soon. The persuasion continues...

Ah wish I could have come.. that looks like an AAMMMAZING dinner. This proves it's community NOT the price of steem that keeps us here. I don't even look at the steem price.. well, much.. haha.. but I totally get pumped from the energy of you guys.

Thanks @riverflows, I do not pay attention to the price of steem nearly as much as I used to, and I definitely look at the price being down differently now. In my mind, as long as Steem is above $0.00, then there is no issue. The unspoken value we are creating on here will eventually help launch this platform back into view, I am not worried in the slightest any longer.

the food looked great @elamental and that last shot says it all, what a great bunch of earth warriors you all are. Hope to get to hang with you all one day xxx
Come to #anarchapulco, many of us will be there.
I would love to, but have to find ways to make it happen first, I have put my intention out there so hopefully xxxx
If your will is strong enough, it will happen. I am telling that to myself as well...
Well said.
this part: "uniting our fellow conscious brothers and sisters together, so we can wake up those that are still asleep, and manifest a better world each day."
How best to do that is the constant question that I ask myself. I'm in favor of some kind of mass enlightenment to speed things up and hopefully stop the plans currently in place for this world. The more their plans come to fruition, the worse it will be for humanity.
Then I think of the potential of good will steemit has and tribesteemup, in particular. I'm trying to connect a dot... it's there.. and it's beautiful.. just can't quite see it. no other logical option but to keep trying
WE are forming the groundwork for mass enlightenment right now on Steemit through the unification of our conscious tribes. Each article you write that spreads wisdom of how to heal humanity or the Earth, and spread freedom's reach, adds another cell to this complex mutant organism we are creating that will fulfill our mission of creating a better world, what you are doing already is enough, just always push to do more each day, and reach further - we will get there.
Thank you and @hempress for your hospitality!! It was so nice to meet you both in person! And the chili was amazingggg! So glad you documented whole process 🙌
We were happy to have you guys and look forward to seeing you again in the future. So glad you enjoyed the meal, and thanks again for the help with the beans and rice!
awesome! As soon as I saw that bag called "Pappy's Beans" knew this post would be killa'
Yea that was the only company that did not pay for an organic label, but I checked them out and they are legit.
wooohooo thiis awesome and what fun! love your recipe and wow that pressure cooker. great team effidt and my kind of peeps. i’d never seen the yeast before and may try that instead of cheese. does it taste good?
It tastes sorta cheesy, definitely used in most any vegan cheese recipe to help give it that flavor profile. Quite high in protein, though you don't want to eat it all the time because it is rather acidic.
@kennyskitchen ah acid is not my friend and thank you so much for letting me know! i love that you know so much about food. appreciating Kenny's words of cooking wisdom. if you patent that i need royalties LOL
You're very welcome!
Luckily I don't believe in intellectual property, so no worries there :-P
@kennyskitchen yayyyyyaaaaa so happy you don't believe in IP. Woo hooo
It was great as a topping on the chilly, I haven't found a ton of other uses for it yet however. I tried to put it in a smoothie once and Kenny had to stop me.
@elamental ahaha omgeeee "put it in a smoothie" you crack me uppppp ... that's stoner food.
ever been cheba hut? its like total stoner sandwiches with like ritz crackers and anchovies with seaweed. ahahah
i never been but they say its off the hook. there's even food pairing with different strains. all i know is two puffs and i'm done. like toast so i have to be selective if i go there.
i prefer cbd myself. not sure how i got onto this but ... here i am.
i will try it on chili for sure bc i'm trying to wean myself off of cheese and meat. ho hummmm the agony .. is REAL
I am right there with you with the giving up of meat and cheese. I have already given up meat (aside form seafood), but its the cheese that I am having a little trouble with. Using the nutritional yeast as a substitute is helping, but its not good to eat too frequently. Never been to Cheba Hut... is that in Portland?
@elamental you are sooo lucky! i need to get there. i will so use it and not sure if cheba is in OR but it is in CO lol
Nice, it is easy to get there btw, just make the decision and do it... I am about to make the decision on this cheese thing, but i will miss it greatly.
i think i will try to get to the rainbow festival. :)
i may get to costa rica to see flauwy ... i feel that calling for sure!
for some reason i do feel like i will see you all soon. i'm not sure how i know this, and i mean that i will see you and meet you all face to face in this realm not just when we "go home." lol
Three teams one meet-up over a spicy salads. Great to see some great steem minds and best community builder together.
I agree @elamental rather than worrying about the continous falling steem prices we just put more focus on steem intrinsic value which is more os community buildup and very helpful in long run...atleast throigh community we get to know many things across the globe and in meantime help us to find some good friends.....looking all together feeling good and hope to see bright steem future.

Exactly, the lower price and participation has allowed us to let go of the finances, and embrace the relationships and connections with our loyal bredrin that are still here with us.
Best thing to do 👍 just enjoy some good time..you guys are simply awesome

Blessings brother.
Amazing group of people in 1 place! great looking food too!
Thank you! It was delicious and made me feel great. Even the leftovers were outstanding.
This chilli looks amazing and the photos are super well done with the animations. Your posts really are very well constructed. Well done!
I really hope to see you all next February in Mexico! Let me know if you are interested in doing the Ayahuasca ceremonies there with me.
This is a mutual feeling and exactly the same I felt at Anarchapulco in general. We are on to something very powerful and I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have the opportunity to be a part of the tribe to grow together into a better human and humanity.
I am right there with ya buddy, and I very much hope to be at #anarchapulco this year... someone really needs to get back to me about vending. I may be interested in the ceremonies, but probably not at the conference, I have to be deep in the jungle/woods or at a festival to take on those kinds of experiences. I hope to see you there again brother!
According to Jeff's own words Anarchapulco will transform into a festival as of next year. I had a great experience last time and they promised to improve a lot of it for next time. :)
Ditto, I cannot wait! I hope I can get a place lined up like last year... our hose in Bonfil was perfect.
Oh friends that excellent food, I love and the way they prepare the ingredients, wow first time I see something similar, I simply love the way to help the earth, what a blessing.
Thank you friend, I am glad you enjoyed my mind meeting meal report.
Why is the only gif of me praying then eating? XD
Dank meal btw haha glad to have spent the evening with everyone.
There are actually three gifs in this article buddy... one with you, one with ginger, and one with all of us at the very end of the article (that is the best one). It was an awesome evening, and I am proud of the meal that was created.
Ah, they must not be working on my phone. I'll have to view it on my pc later.
Huh, totally possible I suppose, there are definitely three GIFs though I promise.
