Not trying to post insightful comments anymore. Waste of time.

I will use my steem power for whatever the hell I want.

I lost about $100 this week because I am being targeted by a delegated bully account. I was making comments that were mostly not spam and were on topic with the conversation. I feel it is unfair to be targeted when there is rampant vote-trading, and outright vote selling (@booster, whaleshares).

Until the content on steemit is not shit, I will take my 30% dividend, thanks.

We shouldn't have to support shit content. If we allow people to negate their reward pool contribution, all that will happen is the reward pool will shrink to match the content quality.

I'm not trying anymore

If shitheads think they know what I should use my SP for better than I do, they can down-vote me. I will even make it easy for them for now and keep it all in this thread. If I cant collect my dividend overtly I will use more covert means. Vote-trading is undetectable and it will be further optimized through dapps.

Sort:

Steemit is a social media which pays users for writing and commenting and maybe voting.
some users abuse this system and they eat all reward pool. you can check trending category and find many abusers.
a shitty post with more than $1000 SBD in reward.

Upvote of a user with 1000 SP decreased in one month from 0.5$ to 0.14$
it is about - 350%
We need rewards too.
Developers should fix this problem in next hard forks.

The problem is the reward pool is too much. Those highly paid "trash authors" are more often than not just vote trading.. then getting a lot of follow-on votes when their "content" hits trending.

Sometimes they have a whale sponsor who is altruistic, but ends up picking content that is unappealing for everyone else to see.

I think setting a maximum reward for each account per day or week can be helpful. it can be calculated by steem power or reputation.

I disagree, i think we have to do everything we can to let people use the steempower they have freely.

  • That means letting people take whatever proportion they want of their own vote power as a dividend for themselves.
  • upvote and downvote content with 100% of their steempower instead of 2%

What is the effect:

  • The reward pool shrinks to an equilibrium with the content quality since many will elect to take a share out of the reward pool for themselves rather than support content they don't like.
  • If they choose to whales and dolphins can take a healthy dividend and let the masses of other users more democratically pick trending content.

anyway, it is beta version.
I don't know what will happen.
Top 20 witnesses will decide about it.

There is still hope: I know at least some of them want to go in the "more freedom" direction.

A lot of people seem to think that top-down control is the key to success. They are wrong, and will kill steemit if they get their way.

Can I maybe ask you to upvote me if it will help me get to 10 reputation I would apreciate it so much, I cant post pictures anymore and that sucks ( please keep in mind im not trying to come off as begging, you are the only one ive asked xD so i aint spamming this)

Really, I enjoyed this conversation info. so much, it is very useful for me .. Thanks a lot for both of you :)
Kindly, I would like to ask about something .. How much one upvote needs of "steam power" to reach 1$?
and How please?
Also what is the minimum amount paid to gain power steam for upvotes?
Thanks a lot for answering me in advance!
I have the pleasure to follow both of you.. @donaldtrumpfan @mahdiyari

amount of upvotes depends on reward pool and steem/sbd price.
right now, upvote of 7000 SP is equal to ~1$

Thanks a lot dear for your quick reply :)

great...!!!
that's the spirit...!!!
upvoted...!!!

Exactly do not waste your time on someone who doesnt care your comments It's a waste of your bandwidth. I just discussed about this on here.

https://steemit.com/steemit/@steemit-fun/minnows-do-not-waste-your-bandwidth-by-upvoting-and-commenting-on-someone-who-never-care-your-comments

I don't care if i get a reciprocal up-voted from the author. I have been writing comments and up-voting my own comments for a week. 95% of the time they were a direct reply to the article, and were (at least in my opinion) thoughtful comments. Why I say waste of time is: I don't particularly want to make thoughtful comments, now i just want my dividend.. and i will get it one way or another.
