StormCloudsGathering: President Trump - The Trap is Set

in #trump8 years ago

I'm not a fan of fear porn, but I've been following StormCloudsGathering for a while, and they seem to cover the facts fairly well. Things are going to get interesting, though I don't think we'll see a full meltdown just yet. There are too many options to let off steam (such as bitcoin... and... well... STEEM. :)

What do you think?

Another good film (probably) that will change shit. As usual.

Also, nature (AKA Mother Nature) has officially become the number one enemy and terrorist of U.S.
Total war against nature and the Earth has started.

That's a pretty sweet trailer. Looking forward to it.

Also, what's up with Joseph and fat cats eating shellfish? First it was prawns, now it's crab legs? Heheh.

Yeah the website changes are sad, but not surprising. He doesn't believe climate change is a thing, or at least, he's pretending not to believe in order to stay buddy/buddy with the corporations who will lose money because of it.

Total war might be a bit much, but if solar energy keeps getting cheaper and decentralized through Tesla's power wall and Solar City's panels, we might have a chance to say, "No thank you, government back energy corporation, we'll vote with our $$$ elsewhere."

One can hope.

Yeah, I know! I thought the same thing! The scene repeating in many of his films.
Or stuffing his face with burgers in half of Culture in Decline series!

Trump as most of Republicans sleeps with oil industry and is lobbied by oil industry. Most of republicans come from states with history of fossil fuel industry power and control (Texas, New Mexico, California etc).
The same think tanks that used to work for tobacco companies denying dangers of smoking, decades ago, have been working with oil industry to spread anti-climate change propaganda.

"Merchants of Doubt Official Trailer" (If you have not seen it yet).

About Tesla. That;s cool that he is working on new technologies and projects revolving around solar power but I would nto rely on him like some sort of savior. Solar power is just one of many alternatie sources of clean energy (others being tidal, wind, sustainable hydroelectirc, geothermal etc.). Also there are many highly advanced renewable technologies that have been worked on that are not based on solar energy.
The renewables technology getting cheaper is not going to sovle the problem if the government is paid and controlled by fossil fuel industry - they will simply just change laws and policies to supress such cheeap technology, so such development really does fuck-all if there is not governmental policy backing it up. Even if someone who wants to go off grid on solar power can be prosecuted by simple legal change.
Spain for example - fossil fuel industry lobbied the government so now you have to pay to be allowed to user solar panels. Renewable companies do not have trillion dollar purchasing power to be able to compete in lobbying with such corporations, even if they got together and tried.

So we're back to government is the problem. Gotcha. :)

I've seen that trailer before... I wonder if I've seen the full thing. I'll have to check it out, thanks.

Sad to hear what Spain is doing. The more people we get together to resist (including and especially "law enforcement") the more chance we have to live in a way that actually does increase wellbeing.

Resistance is the key, I agree. By resistance I mean serious liestyle changes, not taking a stupid banner to go for some pointless protest (later to be typically pacified with police batons) in order to get sense of meaningless life style achievement - "oh look at me I'm sooo connected with other rebels. We go and protest together. Look at us, we are so powerful and unite! I have done my part!.
I stopped going to protests and demos years ago. They achieve fuck all. It's always the same story. People go for a day or 2 to protest, later often trashed by police, then thy go back to their system supporting obedient lifestyle of free-range slaves. Non of the protests have achieved anything.
Politicians and corporations just look at those protesters with pity, laughing - "let them protest a bit so they feel like there is so-called democracy and that they have some power, before we set police at them".
There have been so many protests for decades, many consisting of hundreds of thousands of people (like massive protests in UK against joining war in Middle East or against cuts etc). Non of these protests had any effect. Those in power do whatever the fuck they want anyway.
For resistance to have effect at least half of the adult population should refuse to be part of the system. When they refuse to go to work. When factories, hospitals, power lines, communication, sewage stop working etc, then it will directly effect those in power. Then they will start to seriously consider the protest. They cannot prosecute someone for not working or force someone to work when majority of their employees refuse to do so....
This is the only effective protest I can imagine - we want to change the system then were have to collectively refuse to support it.
The thing is that it will not happen as majority of people do not actually even understand the root causes of our systemic disorders - they think it is something related to so-called democratic governance. Democracy is a bullshit sale word, realistic democracy has never existed. Even in ancient Greece it was never truly achieved.
They just repeat like robots "Democracy this, democracy that" without having any fucking clue what they are talking about.
(as an example, technologically unemployed factory workers protesting to have the right to employment - basically protesting to have the right to be a slave. Well they don't have to worry. No one is going to take this right away from them regardless of lack of job vacancies.).

I recommend the documentary. It's great.

It's really hard to say what is going on. Too much massive hype across the mainstream media which has been so often wrong and in many cases actually fake while it blasted "fake" media. It severely muddies the waters. They would have us believe the innauguration is going to be a nightmare of protests, and civil unrest. All of the things the "left" (I am neither left or right, but an individual) claimed the right would be doing if Trump won, the so-called "left" is doing instead, and then some. Or so the media would have us believe.

What is the truth? When there are information smokescreens, and distracting fires being set off everywhere it makes it very difficult to perceive the actual truth. Is this the intention?

I was thinking along similar lines as almost every headline mentioned in the video is from mainstream media fake news.

I do think it gets one thing for sure: the next four years are going to be very interesting.

Heheh.... makes me think of the supposed Chinese Curse... "May your life be interesting".

All we can do is keep our eyes open, our ears alert, and our I minds ready to react in a way to protect our family, and friends at the moment.

I am thinking there is more HYPE driving the scare here than is actually likely real. It reminds me of Y2K, Mayan Apocalypse, etc.

Chicken little effect...

The sky is falling...

Though I do look at the sky every so often just to be safe. ;)

The fake money problem is a real one... as to when (or how) it will unwind... well, if history is our guide there, it won't be pretty. Many know this and are shouting about it from the rooftops. Since people think in short timescales (a year, a presidential term, etc) those people are written off as crying wolf.

That doesn't mean they are wrong.

One eye on the sky, indeed.

The only thing we can do to try and predict what actually might happen over the next four years is look back at the past. To do that, we take all the cabinet members Trump has nominated, look at their experience and history and then try to develop a model that is based and historical fact.

If you do this, you see a very grim picture for most of the "advancements" the country has made over the past few years a the people are definitely coming in with agendas and bias towards a particular leaning.

However, this will not tell us if this is bad or not. Let's take the head of education nomination. The dialogue is she's against public education and wants to destroy it. Is this bad or good? Well, on one hand free education for all is a great concept. On the other the education system itself employees a model to churn out cogs of a wheel who can do little free-thinking. So good or bad? We will see that's for sure.

It also assumes you think we've made "advancements" in the past few years in terms of policy.

EDIT: I assume that is why you also put it in quotes. I don't see anything actually wrong with your response. It seems like a wait and see. We can try to predict with that information. Yet it will be a guess, speculation, and hopefully our probabilities are somewhat accurate. Yet even with the best probabilities it is still a guess. So I more or less watch and am going to react to what they actually do... I won't get worked up over what MIGHT BE. It sounds like yo are the same.

I will say that I was predicting Hillary would win. I was not happy about that as I think she is one very evil lady, but I was pretty sure she would win and had been tapped to win. The leaks revealing collusion in the DNC to make her beat Bernie Sanders just further cemented that.

I voted third party. I didn't endorse either of them, but had I been forced I would choose Trump over Hillary any day. It also had nothing to do with her gender. I'd choose a random woman off the street before I chose Hillary. I did far too much of my own research on her, and knew she was bad news from actual ACTIONS not simply things that were said.

So I was actually pleasantly surprised to see her lose. I was glad to be wrong, though from the way the media lashed out and the way she lashed out, and the hypocrisy involved I believe what I THOUGHT WOULD HAPPEN was actually the plan. It just failed. Perhaps for the first time in a very long time.

I could not have predicted the state of affairs we are in now.

I see most of their actions as an establishment and its propaganda arm flailing about like wild trying to figure out why it didn't work this time. Their solution, try more of the same type of stuff that failed.

Man SCG sounds really bad. I remember seeing a video not long about his family having some difficulty with illness, but it was disheartening to hear his voice in that condition in this video. =/

I thought he was just going all The Dark Knight on it. I didn't realize he was having health issues. :(

Yeah, when they moved properties after their first big move, they really had some hard hits, health issues were just one of them.

Good truth based post by you Luke.

I mean it sounds cliche if you compare it to the bias towards Trump, and the "fear porn" that people like Jeff Berwick, Peter Schiff, and Chistopher Greene have been warning people about for years, but really nobody should rely on anyone else but themselves..

So the most important thing is to be able to protect your family and SURVIVE if something happens like a "collapse" or even a massive Solar flare :/

Trump is a typical neocon/progressive of the right. Get ready if you're not folks. This smelled from far away.

Also, get ready for the "anti-/pro-war" left to magically appear as Trump takes office and try to pin him down unless he continues "all of the good" that Obama (and Bush before him) have done when it comes to putting troops in countries like Norway.

-If he pulls back, he's gonna get called a lapdog for putin. If he stays, he's supposedly not deescalating the tentions as well as Obama did.

What are so many people so eager to go to war? I wonder if it's just the older generations who still believe in the "honor" of combat and giving parades to paid killers who aggress against other nations in the name of "U.S. Interests," killing innocents in the process.

As Smedley Butler said so well, War is a Racket.

Interesting point about Trump not being able to go either direction. I heard he's filling up his cabinet with ex-generals, so I don't have much hope he'll be an anti-war president. He's already said many terrible things about bombing whoever. His skin is so thin and he's so insecure... this could get really bad.

I wonder if it's just the older generations who still believe in the "honor" of combat

Unfortunately, I don't think so anymore. The young "progressives", the "liberals" on the so called left... they're pretty eager to do anything that the media establishment catering to their ideals(?) tell them to do.

Listen to the last two episodes of The Jason Stapleton Program (the guy can be a douche, so bring a strong stomach) and you'll se what I'm talking about.
