RE: Drove Through Tulsa To Check It Out

Do you feel like a lot more people are just single now in Hungary or are there still a high percentage of people getting married and having kids?

The number of marriages increased a lot in the previous decade. Even in the previous years. The number of divorces decreased only a little.

There is a public national statistics about this in Hungarian.

Translation: Év: Year, Házasságkötések: Marriages, Válások: Divorces, száma: number, ezer lakosra: out of a thousand people).

Generally I see a lot of children, even in small villages. And most of them look happy.

Mmmm, that is interesting that the marriage rates have been going up like that. I wonder what caused that. In the United States it hasn't been looking good with over 50% of women who are 30 years old or older are unmarried with no kids.

Good question. Nowadays I see many happy couples, often with multiple kids. Probably they have a good and stable financial income to be able to afford to start a family. But people can have various reasons why they start or why they do not start a family.

I am currently 30 years old, but I am happy if I can give enough food to my Harris's hawk and to myself. Financially I would not be able to feed kids. My income is below the local minimum wage. But I am very happy with my Harris's hawk. She is family for me. Even if the 99% of the people do not accept it.

I have not found a rent, where people would allow me with my Harris's hawk, but one of the friends of my brother allowed me to live in one of his houses with my Harris's hawk. So I do not even want to get married, nor to have a child. I am very happy with my Harris's hawk.

That is cool you have a Harris's Hawk. Will it fly around outside and then come back to you and everything or is it in a huge bird cage?

Once (accidentally) she flied outside. I trained her to fly back to my arm, if I whistle, so I could call her back. To legally fly her outside, I need a hunter exam and a falconer exam in my country (in Hungary). She lives with me inside the house in my room. We sleep together.

That is cool she will fly back to your arm. My dad always wanted to get a bobcat here in the United States but you have to get additional licenses to have one and even though they had 36 acres of woods I don't know if a bobcat or lynx would come back to the house or runoff. The domesticated cats and dogs would always find themselves back.
