Bring Back Galavant

Please.

Please.

C'mon, ABC, we know you have absolutely nothing better to offer right now.

Roseanne is out, and Netflix is king. You need to do something drastic and different if you're going to claim any share of the ever-dwindling market share of broadcast television. If you're going to stay alive, you need a niche, and that niche is "Alan Menken serial musical comedy."

Why Galavant?

I reviewed Galavant ages ago, and I am not over it.

Recently, I rediscovered my love of the show by listening to the soundtrack at work, and I hunger for it more than ever now. I am not satisfied with the seasons we already have. We need more.

I understand that it is an expensive show. But expensive shows are where the money is these days. Look at Game of Thrones, look at The Crown, look at Stranger Things---all of them expensive endeavors, yet each one is a cultural phenomenon that has become a flagship product. And Galavant could easily join their ranks.

Look at me, ABC. Your window of opportunity is closing. You've got to get this done right now.

Do it.

Do it for the gipper.

Let's face it: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not going to be on TV much longer. You need Galavant, or else you will have nothing.

Do it now, and save yourself from the fate of getting trampled into obscurity and pissed on by the major streaming services.

Which reminds me...

Dear Netflix,

Don't let ABC renew Galavant. Don't even give them the chance.

Buy it out from under them. Trample them into obscurity and then piss on their ashes. This is your birthright, Netflix. We both know that you are the foretold bringer of niche shows, the rescuer of that which would otherwise be lost.

Broadcast television is weak. It has grown feeble in its old age, but do not think to show it any mercy. Even in its death throes, it is still full of treachery. It will use any clemency you show it as a weapon against you. Strike it, Netflix. Cast it down and then claim your destiny.

And since you're already in the habit of greenlighting absolutely everything that comes your way, I can't see what objection you could possibly raise.

Do it.

Do it because it is the right thing to do---perhaps the only right thing to do in this crazy, mixed up world where there are no rules and anything can happen.

Not Sure what else I Can Say

I suppose I could point to Galavant's die-hard fanbase, or remind you of the fact that its popularity has only grown since it's cancellation, through word-of-mouth discussion and grassroots support that most shows would kill for. I could extol the qualities of the show and point out the great talent that has been associated with it.

But really, all I can do at this point is the same thing that millions of people across the country are doing and scream it at you: BRING BACK GALAVANT. I'LL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE. I'LL EVEN START A RICK-AND-MORTY STYLE CAMPAIGN AGAINST McDONALDS UNTIL THEY BRING BACK GALAVANT SAUCE. AND THERE HAS NEVER BEEN GALAVANT SAUCE.

So let's get this done. Let's have ABC try to renew Galavant, only to discover that Netflix has already acquired the rights. I believe in this future, and with everyone's support we can make it happen.

According to your tone I could understand if Netflix decided to make it happen, it might be a worthy investment and also another big TV series is about to come! Great article and I wish Netflix will start reading your reviews!@talanhorne,

Cheers~

I'm dont have watch this film....but...now I eant watch this film....bcz ur review....I like ur uncommon ideas...
I'm sure this film is wonderful experience for me...

Cheers/// Thanks for ur smart post @talanhorne sir...

Watching the hero and the villain develop along parallel lines that eventually converged added a layer of depth to the entertaining story. It was one of many unexpected aspects. Neither Galavant or King Richard were solidly good or evil. Galavant was mostly decent but also self-centered and occasionally obnoxious. King Richard ordered executions but was insecure and wanted to be liked. You ended up rooting for Richard just as much as Galavant and felt sympathy for him. That's not usual for the bad guy in standard fairy tales.
Wel done and perfect work by @talanhorne sir...

I didn't watched this film...but I want watch this film...I think it is amazing....actually I'm really like watch comedy films...
Wel done sir..
Upboted...Another wonderful and interesting article by @talanhorne sir...

the more you invest in a production between talent, costumes and tenoclogy, the more money you will earn. Throne game is an example of this.

@talanhorne, I totally agree with you. If ABC try to renew Galavant, It's wrong idea they decided why, Netflix has rights for produced Galavant. Perfect thoughts you've. Appreciated.

Look at Game of Thrones, look at The Crown, look at Stranger Things---all of them expensive endeavors,...

That’s true! Especially Game of Thrones. My favorite. I will try to help you to bring back “Galavant” to ABC since Netflix has already the rights by resteeming this post. Let’s hope they will hear you out.

Congratulations

Your letter so interesting and well said there. Netflix currently being like as king of best movie series. I don't watched before Galavant. But I looked Games of thrones. I think Galavant was like as Games of thrones movie. Yeah. Galavant can find their rank.

That is valuable and great post. very good Netflixing movies and good tv series .
Great writing this blog.

Have a Great day. @talanhorne

This show is the best thing shown on ABC thus far! My sides were splitting in quarters during the premiere! Especially that joust! HOLY CRAP I COULDN'T BREATHE AT THAT PART! Great show so far! Too bad it is only a miniseries, but I guess it's best if it stays that way. And the medieval themed music of the show is brilliant! This song also has me wanting to piss myself silly x,D

Don't let ABC renew Galavant. Don't even give them the chance.

I think you're right @talanhorne. After the renewing drop don strength of Galavant's story.

I never watch Galavant movie. Time to watch it. But if re-produce again it it isn't important. Your thoughts/ contexts so powerful. But I can't take imagine both netflix and ABC. Thanks for your review @talanhorne.

Probably my favourite musical number of the whole show, and that's saying something when there's so many that are objectively better. This recap just gives me goosebumps every time, perhaps because when I watched the show I already knew it was ending and this was the finale coming. The single disappointment of the whole show for me was that the Jester didn't sing the final version of this song for the ending. So, this is his last hurrah and it's IMO spectacular!

I haven't watched this show ever, but hope you ur wish will be granted to renew Galavant.

Very well articulated
Excellent job sir.
Thanks @talanhorne sir for sharing this post.

@talanhorne sir Galavant is a huge hit so it will face some issues.Huge hit means a lot of money and where money is involved there you can't do much.Look at all the hit's like game of thrones, crown, stranger things this all are big hit.

Needless to say netflix has already acquired rights, but the point is that Galavant is something any one can get attracted for and fan base is already mad about that. Very nice thoughts put forward by you @talanhorne.

Great and valuable post @talanhorne sir. This is an amazing Netflix tv series. Yes, Galavant, only to discover that Netflix has already acquired the rights.

Thanks for sharing this post.

I don't have any idea about Galavant. But now i will try to watch this.I am sure it must be a great thing to watch.

Once Upon a Time gets green lighted for crappier and crappier seasons while a rare gem (and entertaining as hell) show like Galavant gets canceled after just two seasons? >:( abc get it together! you get so much revenue for your crappy shows can't you put more money into the decent shows!?

Hello @talanhorne,

Extraordinary good article written in the https://talanhorne.com/wordpress/?p=1234 (ages ago) too. Incredible review & professional work.

~@mywhale

Watched Galavant last night and loved every minute of it!!!! I laughed till it hurt, I can't wait until the next installment. Also, the main song Galavant is so catchy, I found myself humming it the rest of the night and even when I woke up this morning.

I'm a big Once upon a time fan but in all honesty I'd rather watch Galavant season 3 than OUAT season 7. OUAT was supposed to end in season 6 and it's kind of pointless to give it a season 7 since half of the cast has left, while there's Galavant which is funny and new, and it's just sad that many people don't know it

an impressive review of funny tv series. excellent language usage & very descriptive. thank you. @talanhorne
