That sounds like a very fun time. Especially getting him to mow the lawn up and back a couple of times. At the age of 10, that's pretty promising right there. Along with the repairs.
The old dead frog in the gas tank ploy, eh. Those frogs are crafty, and dedicated, apparently.
Those looks like some mean fireworks, too. Great shot of him shooting off the one while it's still in his hand. It looks like he's taking aim at something on the other end of it. I can't remember if I've asked this, but are all fireworks legal in Missouri? Most?
Here we're lucky if they'll let you use sparklers. That doesn't stop people from getting the projectile fireworks, though. Someone was shooting those over the side of our house and somewhere in back. It's great fun for a while, but after 10 pm on a work night with an early wake up call, not so great.
How in the world does a frog get in a gas tank? no idea! haha
We have big fireworks stores on the state line. Not sure how profitable those will be now that Iowa just legalized fireworks. I think pretty much anything goes. Those places have it all.
Nice living in the country. I can see a few fireworks as late as I want, but don't have to hear them.
That's exactly what I was thinking. We live on about a quarter acre, which is nice because we can be pretty far away from the next door neighbor. But on occasions like this, we're still way too close. Every morning I have my office door open to let it cool off in here and without fail, I get to hear everyone's conversations as they go to work or school. They're pretty loud, anyway, but still. Too close.
One of these days we might make it farther out into the country. I feel like I've already taken my wife far enough out of the big town she was used to growing up in that to take her anymore would completely crush her sociable spirit. :)
