In real life, I rarely receive requests to make poems. In an online environment, that frequency becomes slim to none. If my memory serves me right, the last time I was called on by someone to write poetry for them was on September of 2017. That's why I was quick to lend my talent to such a challenge from a fellow Steemit user. I just couldn't pass up the chance to create a form of poetry I've only done once before. I did my research, worked on it, and after thinking long and hard about what to write, I'm glad to say that it's finished.

As promised, @joules7991, here's your haiku. :)

Gone are my dark days
Only good purpose remains
Divine words moved me

(See what I did there? When I was finalizing the haiku, I realized that I wanted to make Him the backbone of this poem as my way of expressing my gratitude to Him for giving me the talent to create poetry in the first place. I hope you liked it. ^_^)

Thanks for reading! More to come.

Take care,
Jesse Mar

Nice poem...but, Haiku is a three-lined poem, the first line consisting of five syllables, the second line having seven and the last line with 5 syllables again @virtualself

Tama naman po ah Hahaha
Look at the poem again and count the syllables:

5 syllables
7 syllables
5 syllables

I guess you counted "moved" as 2 syllables, but it is only one syllable.
