RE: Steemit Brave Browser Android Scrolling Issue!

in #utopian-io6 years ago (edited)

Please. People can't even watch a video these days? Are they robots? Just listen to the audio and you get 100% accurate description. Normal people don't have github accounts or even know what it is. I'm a normal human finding a bug.

I clearly stated the device and OS in the video. Volume: On. And again Steemit is the main project of this whole ecosystem. I don't understand why people have to do drone response. A simple video makes everything 100% easier and streamlined. You are complicating an easy thing.

1: Problem found submitted
2: Should be approved
3: Should be upvoted

Or else it would be communism. Wanting free work. Since I work and care about the place by submit a real issue on the platform. Btw @utopian-io the tag with 2 dash doesn't work in Steemit interface. It gives out an error.

Hi @phoneinf,
I am the Community Manager of Bug-hunting.

It's great that you're trying to submit a bug in Utopian-io thank you for that. But, Utopian doesn't go around upvoting posts which has a video and description with the word "bug" in it. We follow some guidelines to make sure developers can easily see the bug, reproduce it and fix it. This allows us to maintain some quality with our content.

One of the our strict policies is

Be respectful to our moderators.

Which is a common thing in a Community. you are not allowed to flag comments of moderators if things don't go as you planned.

Utopian no longer "approves" or "rejects" posts. we simply give feedback. Based on the Efforts and Quality of user's contribution Utopian upvote is given to them.Upvote is never guaranteed.

Task requests are for developers. not for reporting bugs. bug-hunting tag is used for that. In your video, you are being unprofessional and rogue. Our guidelines are provided to make sure your post is best suited for readers and various developers. speaking about Brave browser scrolling effect and steemit site I understand you are talking about scrolling on steemit.com on brave browser. But is this a Steemit bug? Is this a brave browser bug? how would it get fixed if it's not properly stated in a Bug Report. A simple video is not how the industry report bugs. This is why proper template and guidelines are provided to you.Our moderators review and provide you feedback on how to improve as a bug hunter. So please, don't flame or report our moderators.

Goodbye. Hope you have a nice day.

Thank you for reporting the double dash tag problem. we will fix it.
Regards,

"you are not supposed to flag comments of moderators" suppose? You know this is a public Blockchain and that I can downvote if I disagree with a message? There is no police here or main authority for right or wrong. It's in the users hands. Go and lecture someone else.

"you are being unprofessional" What are you talking about? Is being a human just stating things clearly unprofessional? Please. We are humans and can talk in humane ways.

"and rogue" Here you are lying. What does that even mean?

"But is this a Steemit bug? Is this a brave browser bug?" I have no idea that's is why I did the video. Isn't that obvious? I'm not the expert here.

"A simple video is not how the industry uses to report bugs." Industry? Just lol. We are on the Internet communicating with each other. Video is the best form of communication.

"This is no way of writing a bug report." You are wrong here. This is not even a writing.

"This is no way of treating our moderators. " Please define what you are talking about here. Since I have made good replies to exactly everything. But only got a drone robot response.

Let me rephrase my comments,

  1. If you are trying to be part of a community, you do not start by downvoting their moderators.

  2. I will advise you to learn more about flagging and when it should be used as it is not advised to use this way. The moderator was simply following the guidelines which he was given to follow. I will link you some good contributions below.

    1. Here
    2. Here
  3. I may have used the wrong words before, sorry for that.

  4. You are not an expert, but you could have done a little bit of research on your part for what tags to use, what to write in the template and why we provide a template, our guidelines are just to help users It is not a necessity. But it sort of defines how we score your post. you can't just post you found a bug in "abc" app to utopian without following guidelines. Even most of the open source projects have there issue templates or guidelines which they advise you to follow. You need to take initiative, report to devs in the issue tracker of there project, Wait for them to confirm its a bug, and then make a report, those are efforts which we appreciate. Now, we only accept bugs in this specified document here which we update from time to time with new projects.

  5. Industry, cuz it's not how we or any good open/closed source organization operate. Your post lacks in formatting and proper details about Project, bug description, Steps to reproduce, what actions you did to report the bug to the Project Owner? (Proof of Work done).

  6. That's why our mod was making sure you understand our project, It wasn't a drone reply, It was feedback written based on your post. here, he tried to explain to you why we cannot review your post. But, you downvoted him which isn't expected because the mod was performing his job.
