Fair play but I don't think could become vegetarian let lone vegan because meat does taste good I know real bad but nice, if give up my meat i don't think I could do with no eggs!
That's understandable. It does take some dedication if you really want to do it. If you aren't remotely interested in trying vegetarianism or veganism out, it probably isn't for you.
I feel the same, I also regret not doing it earlier.

When I went to the store today - I put back the cheese.
Woohoo. :) I used to love cheese, but the flavor and idea of it really is just gross to me now.
You and I talked about raw unpasteurized milk cheese awhile back.
When I got back to Wyoming Today I found it at the store. I picked it up, put it down, picked it up, put it down, picked it up and put it back down, paid the cashier and left.
I guess the universe was letting me know it was World Vegan day.
HAHAH oh yeah. :)

It's been over two years since I and my family transitioned as well, Celebrated world vegan day with my family at one of our favourite vegan restaurants.
You are very lucky to have a vegan restaurant. the closest one to me is about 2.5 hours away.

The reason I remain lacto ovo vegetarian is because of cheese, as an Italian you can only imagine haha. I have my own hens and dairy so I know where mostly everything on my plate comes from for my family and I. However, I would like to try some cheese alternatives, what brands do you recommend? I am not a fan of nutritional yeast so that's out of the question :(
That's a tough question. I don't really like store bought cheese so I make most of mine via nuts or nutritional yeast.
I will definitely look into recipes for this using nuts!

Sadly, no. :( They're from a small farming district, so they're pretty close-minded about that kind of thing. I'd be happy if they tried reducing their meat intake at the very least, but it's still a work in progress!

Hurray! I congratulate all of us with this great holiday! I did not know that today is such a special day! I've been vegan for just over two years, just like you. My whole beloved family is my husband, my son and his wife - we are all vegan! I'm delighted with this information! You made my day! We need to think about how to celebrate! It may be necessary to arrange a competition of stories "How and why I became a vegan" and necessarily with personal photos! Everyone should see how well we look! Oh awesome. It makes it much easier if the people you love around you are also vegan. I'm the only one in my family and also one of a few in my town.

Happy vegan month my fellow plant-based muncher... I didn't even know vegan month was a thing!
And october is a national vegetarian month with october first being world vegetarian day.
Should keep up with my days it seems. So easy to get lost in time and nature here ;) Thanks for letting me know... next year I might organize something local here... they could use some plant-based lessons... but I need better Khmer language skills first. Starting private course once we moved :0
