i've seen the lies told by our government. i went thru college, been around 'educated people' all my life. i know how deep they 'knowledge' goes. it is just that, knowledge, no wisdom. they are book smart, they have no real world experience in most cases (btw those that do have real world experience and teach are always better).
so basically i know what we know, and what we think we know.. and at some point you realize what we call facts in elementary and high school is just theories. literally all theories.
so what do in the interest of data integrity? distil it down until you get to the source material. all this conjecture sprouted from somewhere. and what you find is the often mundane, and doesn't prove squat.
i feel i have just as much right to draw my own conclusions.
one thing i know for sure, the government lies. they massacred the native americans, do you think they told the people that? no, they made them into 'savages' . what our government did is screw the indians over, time and time again. pretending it was nothing. indians got mad. now they were savages, as they attacked innocent farmers. now the settlers saw them as savages, not knowing the wrong that had been done in their name.
so now, the same people are telling me the earth is a globe, stealing 54 million bucks a day (in 2014 anyway) for nasa to give me cgi and vomit comet videos. you spend some time looking into the moon landing... watching iss videos... and you see the cgi accidents, you see the mistakes made that wouldn't be made if it was real. like the moon lander not having any dust, not creating a crater upon landing (yet it was so soft he made that footprint remember?)
i've just given you words. you'd need to decide for yourself to see the truth. if you go looking, you must spend more than a few minutes. there are traps, setup by the same 54 million dollar a day people. but if you keep trying, you'll find some good ones. some people find the 'bubbles in space' most convincing. i personally like the 'door made of flimsy material' that should have been like a door on a submarine... but you watch it bounce.
i'd say tho, to avoid the video evidence (watching boring videos) you could read 'wagging the moon doggie'
so, in long... lol. that is why i feel it is easy to ignore a mountain of evidence produced by people i don't trust.
and i trust them even less because if pushed they get mad, label me, and refuse to consider/discuss my question. that is not how truth works. truth gets more clear upon observation, falsehoods fall apart.
so whatever you want to know more about, be sure you read the opposition. i lived the globe earth for 39 years before changing my mind. literally about a few month before my 40th birthday... the eclipse happened, and i started to question the path of the eclipse, it didn't make sense in my mind. so i looked into it. it makes a strange s shape across a globe earth.. yet on a flat earth carves a circular path...
I have read both sides of this particular argument. It breaks down as follows:
One side has mountains of observations, data, and evidence gathered over centuries, backing up its model.
The other side has no working model, only unsubstantiated claims of a giant conspiracy.
Flat earth cannot come up with a working model, nor disprove any of the mountains of evidence that proves the spherical earth. All that its proponents can do is yell, "conspiracy!" and disparage the names of a lot of good people. It is fairly despicable.
I felt I had to address your eclipse nonsense. Here is a video that tries to model the flat earth eclipse:
The sun has to magically jump around to match the observations made at the same moment.
And here is the heliocentric model perfectly explaining the observations made:
Jump to the 5:50 mark if you don't want to watch the whole thing.
you ignored my previous comment, almost in its entirety.
and no, your eclipse videos do not explain the s curve of eclipse across the planet.
but the flat earth model does. it makes sense.
i honestly think now, given my experience, cannot go back to the heliocentric view.. unless i get to go up in a space craft.
you want to believe conspiracies couldn't exist... small imagination i say, or limited understanding of history.
Yes I did ignore most of your comment because I am not interested in conspiracy theories. I am interested in how facts and observations fit together to form a theory.
The first video is from a flat earth perspective which shows that for any moment of time, the sun has to be in a different position depending on from where you are observing the eclipse. This is clearly impossible. The sun cannot be in multiple places at the same time. Therefore, the flat earth model fails to explain the eclipse.
The second video shows how when looking from the perspective of the sun, the shadow moves smoothly across the globe and the United States in a straight line. Therefore, the heliocentric model explains the eclipse perfectly. what is more, it predicted it perfectly, and will predict the next one perfectly.
Your ability to ignore and deny direct evidence makes this a useless exercise. It doesn't make you special, it just makes you ignorant.
