RE: Vocab-ability–158 (nihil, nil = nothing) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #vocab-ability6 years ago

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Annihilate
In anger, the king annihilated the buildings of his ancestors.

  2. Nihilism
The doctrine of nihilism should not be taught to children, lest they become rebellious

  3. Nil
Nil is a synonym of zero and nothing.

  4. Nihilist
He is a nihilist, hence his agnostic viewpoint.

This would be my first time reading and participating in your vocab practice, and while having a close scrutiny of your article, I discovered that indeed, you are a great writer and editor as not only was I able to understand and learn new words through all you wrote, I could not spot an error.

I love the fact that you emphasized that accuracy is better than creativity, as we have a lot of people who are creative but not accurate with their sentence constructions.

I am happy I came across your blog. I hope to improve my vocabulary here. Thanks so much for this opportunity.

Good work!

And thanks for the compliment. As you may have read in my ID box, I am not only a teacher of English and a writer, I am also an editor.

Therefore, I proofread and re-read every post any number of times, checking for errors. It's a never-ending process, but the good thing is that almost all of my posts are error-free.

I trust you will also work diligently to make high-quality posts, in terms of both content and style.
