RE: Vocab-ability–198 (rid, ris = laugh) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #vocab-ability6 years ago

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Ridiculous.
She went on a shopping spree but the prices on those outfits she tried on were definitely and unreasonably ridiculous.

  2. Derision.
The Colonel’s error judgment about the enemy’s location to sway in battle was the reason of derision from his command.

  3. Ridicule.
In his mind it wasn’t about learning the game but ridicule on how stupid and unfair the rule of the game was.

  4. Ridicule.
The other team in the football game were about to ridicule their rivals for having scored the least in the final championship.
