RE: Vocab-ability–198 (rid, ris = laugh) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #vocab-ability6 years ago (edited)

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Ridiculous:
You should take my ridiculous comments very personal as they are my way of secretively poking fun at you.

  2. Derision:
The bully used derisive tactics to get Kierquo to steal his parent's wallet and give it to him.

  3. Ridicule:
The ridicule I had to put up with in high school simply because I chose to play chess, hacky-sack, and Frisbee in the school gym is one of the reasons I didn't like hanging out with many kids.

  4. Ridicule:
I'm going to find the ways to ridicule you that will have your children's children hiding out underneath rocks thinking there are poisonous snakes ready to eat them up should they dare to think of getting out.

Good work!

Good luck with the initiative in #4. Your intention is obviously very noble. :-)
