BLURT.Blog has also been doing this for awhile without DVing Whales. I recommend looking into BOTH because they will both accept your @name and Login Keys... But are still separate blockchains.

I'm on Blurt too but wanted to give this a crack. I have bought 10k of Blurt tokens and am keeping an eye on things.

What I like about Blurt is no downvoting and a friendly community.
So what holds me back? Firstly it's like Steemit in 2017 - there is very little development, and I must admit I like to see some bells and whistles,
And it's only a small crew of people compared to Hive. I'm following about 300 people on Hive, and most of them will tag their posts #vyb if we keep reminding them for a few weeks.
Only about 30 of them are on Blurt, and if I had to I could run with that, but if we could get VYB firing on all cylinders I think it could really take off fast
