I guess this does counts as a vacation. I got my kids so worn out that I can actually sit down at my computer without being interrupted for ten minutes.
Technically your 1.3 year old should be taking naps by himself in the afternoon. Playtime needs coworking from both parents if possible. In the morning make him sweat and then give him lunch and he will take a nap. In the evening around 7pm or 8pm ask your husband to exercise with the boy and have a real heart to heart so the dad's words echo through the boy's body and heart to heart is felt. Try to find exercises that require closeness not distance. I put the boy on my sins and hold hands. It seems like torture but it doesn't hurt and I get a good stretch. Another is for the dad to sit down while the kid runs around the dad. Again it is just bearable torture for the day. Then put the boy in a bath tub... read a story and the kid is out for 12 hours. When they get older you will have to get more creative.
He does take 2 naps in a day right now, one is just now. And he's a sweet kid otherwise. Doesn't torture me much but yes, I can't work on my laptop with him around so I usually keep him with my house help while I am working.
Great!! Another one at that age is getting him to laugh and roll around. This helps a lot. Whatever you do... Do not place him in front of a grand piano or even standing piano. The kids will always try to pull the top of the piano down. No kid will every play the keys. You are better off giving them pots and pans and a spoon to play with than a piano at one. Some parents think their kids are Mozart and maybe they are but all one year old kids are more interested in how the piano folds up than how the keys work.
Oh Man! I can so relate to what you said above. I haven't tried a piano, but all the toys he has, he is never interested in playing with them but takes the batteries out and starts playing with them instead.
And you are so right about the spoons thing. He loves to play with spoons and plates and bowls. They are his favourite toys infact.
It's always important to remember that kids are not little grown ups. They are kids and need love and a lot of time to play. Then they can rest and give us some free time. !LUV
I was shown lots of love by my parents when growing up but fun was very minimal due to my school long distance. I'm looking for a way that my kids will be able to have enough fun when the time come.
Thank you for your comments they are valuable to me personally.
Oh man! You make me jealous! So you are skeeing? I did attempt it once, I could not do it properly, I used to fall every 10 seconds, !LOL, but it was great fun! So when are you getting back to business?
At the moment I am still frozen stiff but I have plans as I defrost. I see a core of the community is still here and I will invite you to play with me. You should see something this weekend and a big bang by Monday.

I'm glad you are having so much fun. Is this Korea? Or Perhaps you are taking a world tour lol
I'm in Korea. World travel is highly restricted due to covid.
Oh that's true. This Covid restricts us to a lot of things. I'm glad you are having fun tho.
