Missile Manufacturers See Stocks Surge After Recent Airstrikes In Syria

War is good business for some and thanks to the recent strikes that were launched in Syria, it's alleged that the move helped to add billions of dollars in stock value to weapons manufactures like Raytheon and others.

The company that manufactures the missiles that were allegedly used in Syria is said to be the Raytheon company and over the weekend they added over $2 billion to their company value.

Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, and Boeing, also saw gains.

Taxpayers funded the airstrikes, which were estimated to cost more than $100 million.

It was France, the UK, and the US together who allegedly launched the attack. And it's suggested that more than 80+ missiles were fired overall. At least 60+ from Raytheon, 19 from Lockheed Martin, and 8 from MBDA Missile Systems.

And is it any surprise that those who've launched the strikes have deemed their actions moral and acceptable? We shouldn't expect any less.

Previous reports have suggested what many already suspect, that a great deal of anti-terror efforts today might be more about enriching military contractors and weapons manufacturers, than about trying to promote any true safety. Yet, the people are left with few options, as lawmakers continue to press forward with the same unapologetic foreign policy that breeds contempt and blow-back worldwide.

Maybe after they spend a few more trillion they will have finally accomplished their goal? Or perhaps they'll be engaged in this battle for another few decades to come yet. In the meantime, it's the people who are paying the price in numerous ways.

AWESOME video . Checkout all of the companies you just mentioned stocks went up right after the air strike . What a SICK country I have to belong to . And your right that book should be required reading along with the constitution , the bill of rights , the Bible , and they should know where the money comes from . WWI cost about 3 trillion dollars in total, 3 fucking trillion dollars and it was 1917, Here in this day and age another war would be multi trillion of dollars wasted weapons, plus pharma companies will be profiting as well, due medicines being in demand. At the end of the day it’s the companies that profit the most from wars.

I wished we could live a happy life with money. It is the first cause of the most wars happened in our history. I dont understand the point of harming other for money, but that shows us how many people could take the bad choice to destroy themselves.
If all people would wish nothing than peace on our planet, we would defeat any power no matter how strong it can be.

@doitvoluntarily have you read "War is a Racket" by Smedley Butler? It might have been written a while ago, but he offers some interesting suggestions to remove the pecuniary incentives from war :

"To summarize: Three steps must be taken to smash the war racket.

1. We must take the profit out of war.
2. We must permit the youth of the land who would bear arms to decide whether or not there should be war.
3. We must limit our military forces to home defense purposes.

To anyone interested, it's a short read (more like an essay) with themes that are still very much pertinent.
