The civil war has been going on in Syria for several years now and it's estimated in that time that at least 300,000 people have lost their lives due to the conflict. There have also been over 10 million people that have been misplaced from their homes. It's a conflict that the majority of the public doesn't seem to want to be involved in, yet they are forced to continue with it because of the pressure for ongoing war from the deep state and US political representatives who have demonstrated nothing but eagerness to see Assad removed from his position of power.
Just a few months ago, the violence escalated to a new level when the US, under Trump's authority, decided to unleash the “mother of all bombs” known as the MOAB, a weapon that contained roughly 10 tonnes of explosives. This was said to be the very first occasion that the US had used this weapon in a conflict. It isn't known exactly how many innocent people lost their lives that day when the US decided to drop that weapon, but reports did state that several terrorists had been successfully targeted.
Syria's largest city, Aleppo, has been destroyed by the conflict but just recently in December the Syrian government was able to regain the territory of Aleppo thanks to help from Russia.
And when it comes to the ongoing war, Assad says that the worst might be behind us now.
Assad has claimed that they are currently moving in the ”right direction” and that he believes the worst of the civil war in his country is now over after a series of successful advances of his nation's forces backed by Russia.
”Unless the West.... and their puppets [and allies], support those extremists in a massive way,... the worst is behind us [now].
But will the political powers in the West be satisfied if Assad stays in power? They've already publicly declared that such an option isn't a resolution in their eyes and that the conflict will not stop until he is removed.
A number of people have tried to shed light on what is really going on in Syria that the Western media is neglecting to tell the public, like exactly where the funding is coming from for some of the rebels and the extent of the involvement of US officials in creating and manipulating these groups. It isn't within the interest of the US people to continue with a war that they cannot afford, which is creating enemies and making them less safe in the long run.
Western governments and their allies need to stop funding these illegal and unjustified wars, they are killing millions of innocent people and displacing even more. People shouldn't have to dodge sniper fire on their way home with some groceries, they shouldn't have to be left starving and without medicine and access to water, electricity, or basic necessities, because of the unfathomable amount of greed and evil being displayed from a few people who pull the strings within the deep state.
If it's true that the worst might now be behind us, let's hope that the US doesn't want to refuel the chaos by sending even more supplies and air support etc to help the terrorists continue the bloodshed.

Let's hope Assad + ISIS will be removed.
I think that is what the psychotic blood-thirsty criminals in Washington want so chances are they will get what they want :)...on them wanting ISIS gone though? hahaha maybe they should stop funding and arming them first?

"Facts"
Assad is the biggest beneficiary of the "creation of ISIS". Without the rise of ISIS the western world would have removed this bastard several years ago.
that's incorrect. He doesn't benefit from the failure of the state he rules over.
What does he value more? The life of himself and his family (remember the brutal end of Gaddafi?) or the endless suffering of his countrymen? I am quite sure he chooses the second option and hopes he'll be able to remain in power.
could Assad really retain power after all this? Wasn't expecting it to end that way. Let's see what happens and hope for the best.
no i am not expecting it to end this way either, Western leaders have declared that him staying in isn't an option for them.
Keeps you on your toes to say the least. Keep it up man, it's great to see liberty minded individuals gaining influence on the platform.
there are plenty of them on here! :)
Great post my friend!
"The Worst of the Conflict in What's Left of Syria May Be Behind Us Now" *Fixed
<3 Thanks for sharing
:(
Ya I feel that. It's fucking ridiculous the images coming out of Syria of destroyed civilian buildings.
makes you thankful for living where we do.. that we don't have to go through such things... for now
It's quite sad to see when war explodes, the citizens have to suffer, especially I watched a video where the man of each house are told to fight wars while the woman's have to defend their home themselves, and had no choice but to learn to use guns. ;(
*Sighs. Great job America!
After seeing how the once great nations Libya and Iraq still crumbling, years of killing their so called called their so called "might oppressors". I think America needs to take a timeout and look at themselves and realize how many lives they ruin by not simply minding their business. And the dynamo effect their actions; these are humam beings, not collateral damage.
Why should there still be war?
I deeply regret the growing and growing civilian casualties and especially the innocent child
@ doitvoluntarily- So sorry, so chaos in syiria is nothing but a power-hungry person, for the sake of politics and class
Even how we think of it, war is a lucrative business. As long as there are companies involved in making armaments, there will always war. I read recently that four Arab nations accused Qatar of funding ISIS. Not sure where the world is heading at the moment.
yes i read that too, qatar and saudis... shameful
dirty politicians

I think the tide is turning or about to turn. We're seeing it. We're talking about it. We're beginning to elect people who stand against war and foreign interference as a first choice.
People here in the UK are starting, just starting to see and acknowledge the damage our forefathers did through colonialism and how those attitudes persist.
Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be better for everyone if countries did not get involved in foreign politics at all. Stick to your country and just trade with others (or don't, if you don't like their prices). But then also don't let others in so easily, unless they can actually benefit your country. Let every country be in their own state of development, even if that means some are very backwards. Want to believe in fairy tales? Be my guest? Don't like it? Try to make a change in your own country. All this involvement only means everyone's at risk, not just people in war zones.
the genius of such a simple concept.. minding your own business!:)
and I don't think we should allow a centralization on force that can't even balance a budget.. decide who gets to make voluntary exchanges and travel to where they want to...their incompetence is astounding.
All this conflict is so much based on differences in believes and values. Different stages of evolution or however you want to call it. All we do is force people into a life they aren't ready for. Let them have their civil war, I'm sure we've had plenty while getting to the stage we are at now. Everything that's happening today shows us we aren't doing any good in forcing people to speed up. All we do is put our own people in danger aswell.
the conflict is because of a few psychotic individuals in positions of power. On my own street where I live, I am surrounded by a variety of different people with a myriad of beliefs and value systems.. yet we all get along just fine and no violence is initiated. There is a lot more to it than simply "differences" between people.
I'd say there could be just as much of a difference between me and another native American, as there would be between me and someone of a different race or from a different country.
Everything today shows us that what we have been doing for thousands of years, operating with the illusion that we can trust human beings with positions of authority to rule over their fellow human beings and that it will be ok because we can use "checks and balances" to make sure corruption doesn't come about -- has proved nothing but a farce.
Maybe one day we will embrace real freedom :)
Once the US and allies leave Assad alone, I disagree. But to understand why the conflict isn't over you need to understand that the overthrow of Assad has been planned for a while now. It came from General Wesley Clark way back in the day, and it's all unfolding still. They wanted to do it in 5 years, but I suppose they didn't count resistance.
this is pretty well known, at least around the internets lol:)
"Western governments and their allies need to stop funding these illegal and unjustified wars, they are killing millions of innocent people and displacing even more"
Politicians "joined" the war with citizens who refuse suffered
I hope it is. The citizens have suffered enough.
great post
@doitvoluntarily it is all about oil until that is not sorted as they need a pipeline going into Syria i doubt if there will be peace at this time .
